It doesn't say you need a package for EMH. But for 60-day FP, it says, "Guests at these Official WALT DISNEY WORLD hotels, who have booked a package reservation for the hotel through a Walt Disney Travel Company package"...
Not withstanding the redundancy, is this not correct?
Interesting that Shades of Green guests just got 60-day FP as well...
The announcement is very poorly worded. It states it’s the same benefits as Swan/Dolphin and S/D Guests who book room-only with separately linked tickets have 60-day windows. It doesn't say you need a package for EMH. The FP system will recognize the combination of the resort reservation confirmation number and valid tickets. This is how it works for Swan, Dolphin, and SoG.How will Disney know I'm staying at one of these resorts if I don't book through them? I am actually staying at one for a gymnastics comp presidents day weekend but it was booked through a 3rd party.
So I know this is going to start a debate but what's the benefit of staying on property now? Magical express? Slightly better transportation? I won't be staying elsewhere as POFQ is my second home but I can see others moving to offsite.
even though my family should have APs by then, which of course only gets you a 30 day window
This is likely going to make EMH even busier. How nice that it hits just 2 weeks before my trip.
If that’s true then it will likely make the non-EMH parks less busy. This is likely going to make EMH even busier. How nice that it hits just 2 weeks before my trip.
I’m not that upset. It won’t change our plans. I think we were only hitting one EMH anyway. I have big plans for that one though! If that’s true then it will likely make the non-EMH parks less busy.
See! There’s always something to smile about!
Hopefully the impact is minimal for your EMH day.I’m not that upset. It won’t change our plans. I think we were only hitting one EMH anyway. I have big plans for that one though!
Lots of people go to EMH and then hop to another park.I'm sort of laughing at the idea that all the DISboarders are complaining that EMH will be too crowded now, since for years I've just been seeing people say "we never go to the EMH park anyway because it's too crowded". So if you don't go tot he EMH park anyway, you should be happy that more people will potentially be there while you are at the non EMH park with the lower crowds.
The ONLY thing onsite has now that these don't is transportation to the parks, and we all know how that's been going lately.....downhill fast!
In my experience, it's always been one bus to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios and the other to the Transportation and Ticket Center (transfer to Magic Kingdom) and Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Here's the flyer given at check-in:
Disney Springs has it's own bus system to the parks.
Wonder if it's more reliable (really every 30 min?) and how full the buses get. Of course, they could get much more crowded with these new offers.
It’s 60 + Length of Stay. If your Stay is longer than 14 days, there’s specific directives in the FP FAQ Addendum. For shades of Green, is it a 60 day FP window (so get up each day to make FP choices), OR IS IT 60+10 like at a WDW Resort?
