***Official June 2018***

The Moonlight Magic at TL? I'm hoping to get in on the June 11 event, and if we do, we'll Uber.

Yeah! The May one though, that is during the Universal part of our trip. I figured out the cheaper way would be to rent a car at Portofino that morning and just return it the next day. From Universal property it's about $30 each way, plus it might cost more if it's late. So for $40ish all in, I can come and go as I need. That's assuming I can actually get us a spot for the event!

I've got the reservation date marked on my calendar!!!

I actually stay onsite at each, but for the DVC event I'll probably do a cheap car rental for the night

Thanks! I'm probably going to stick with Uber as this is only 1 day during our trip. I'm assuming it's easy to get Uber pickup at AKL, but will plan on an early pickup as we like City Walk and will explore that before the event starts.

Oh yes, we usually uber from one property to the other but for each stay. It's very easy to do a pickup at any resort. You could also get the uber to/from Hard Rock Hotel since that's the closest resort.

I'm not really sure where to ask this question. So here it is... We did disney for 7 days our first trip with only 5 park days. It was my DH, DD, & me. She was 5. We're going back in June she will be 7, for 11 days with 10 park days. I think I've decide to do 4 magic kingdom days, 2 epcot, 2 AK, & 2 HS. For anyone who has taken this long a trip does this sound good to y'all? We aren't park hopping either.

That's probably what I would do. We almost always have park hoppers, but on our trip in 2014 we did not and we had 7-day tickets and did just 1 HS, 1 Epcot, and 5 MK days!

Yeah and the nice thing about a longer trip is you won't feel compelled to spend open to close every day! So much more relaxed with 1/2 or 3/4 days and know you have another day to see more or redo favorites. Make sure to build in pool time for the 7 year old:D

Yes! Last trip we did PPO ADRS every park day and we were exhausted. I'm looking forward to mid day breaks this time and a few rope drops... but not every day.

Our June trips get longer and longer every year! We started with 6 nights our first trip, then 11, 13 and this year we're up to 14 nights. We usually do 2-3 park days and then 1 rest day. On the rest day we occasionally go to a park after dinner. We usually do RD and are leaving the park by 12PM-1PM. Then back to the resort for pool time. We probably spend at least half or more of our trips at the resort. A couple of days we'll skip RD and sleep in a little bit and go to the park in the afternoon, usually the day after we have a late night. We have APs so we park hop, and we spend the most time at Epcot (Favorite park) and AK (DD fell in love with Everest at 7 yrs).

Your plan sounds good but like PP said make sure to build in pool time! Personally I wouldn't do 3 days at MK, but that's just us - it's our least favorite.

Anyone have any info on the Star Wars fireworks?? It says NONE under the June 2018 hours..

Also are we thinking Toy Story land will be opening in or before June? I know nothing has been announced, but..

We are doing 9.5 park days but we do get hoppers so we can move as needed based on crowds or dining reservations. I plan to do at least 3 days at MK, 2 at Epcot, 2 at AK, and at minimum 1 at HS. That gives me a 1.5 of repeating parks/rides as we want, seeing shows or slowing down and enjoying the park. We will do some half days as well to enjoy the resort more and rest! Last time we did 7 park days and only 1 of those was a half day and we were exhausted!

Star Wars fireworks are notorious for being put on the schedule semi last minute. Or really a couple of months ahead at most.

TSL is rumored for a Memorial Day weekend opening.

Everytime I tell people we’re going for nine days they look at me like I’m insane! But theres just so much to do, I’m really looking forward to a more leisurely place.

Right now we don’t have park hoppers, but I’m thinking of adding then just in case we get some 1.5 park days.

The more days the better as far as I'm concerned! It's so nice to actually have a relaxing vacation at Disney when it's longer and you're not cramming so much into a few days.

I do like having hoppers just because we can plan the morning and then in the evening decide where we want to go based on what FP we can get. Also with staying at the Polynesian villas, we will likely want to end the day at Epcot or MK when we can.

I think people assume WDW is like Disneyland, especially ones who haven't been before. I usually say I'll be in Orlando for 9 or 10 days but doing various things. But mostly we just hit Disney and Universal. I found out the hard way we are not park warriors at all. I like to get in early, take a break by the pool, and then go back to another park until closing. There's still quite a few rides we haven't been on (mainly kiddie ones) but I wouldn't mind going just to experience them. And I still haven't seen Festival of the Lion King either. So yeah there's no huge rush to do every single thing, and now they're adding more and more each year!

So I just got my AP rate at our Universal resort, 264 a night for Portofino! If anyone is going there in late May, you might want to check and see if there's a rate that works for you. The Cabana Bay rooms and suites look very reasonably priced. While you wouldn't get the Express Pass included there, the early entry is also a pretty nice perk.
