Can't help with the TIN since I only made a couple bucks interest, but it was reported that PNC was considering the bonus misc income instead of interest so if it was under the 1099MISC limit of $600 they aren't issuing the 1099. So can just use whatever you find online.
Well, maybe we shouldn't have claimed it then! Oh well, better safe than sorry! Federal return has been submitted and already accepted! Now to obsessively check for our refund.
Oh, rice on the stove is one of my specialties. We eat a ton of rice with DH being Asian.
Equal parts rice and water, toss in an extra 1/2 of cup of water, bring to boil. Once the majority of the water has evaporated, cover with a lid, turn to Low and steam for 20 min. Fluff with a fork and partake.
I then freeze the leftovers to make fried rice since it is supposed to be better to use frozen rice than fresh for fried rice. No idea why though.
I cooked rice on the stovetop for years, no problem. Then someone gave me a rice cooker, which I thought was silly. When we remodeled our kitchen, I had no choice & used nothing but small electric appliances for 6 weeks. Slow cooker, rice cooker, electric frying pan, toaster oven. Once our kitchen was done, never went back to making rice on stovetop. It frees up an extra burner and I’m frequently using 2-3 burners or using 2 large sauté pans that block the rear burners, making them useless. I can tell DS9 to make the rice while I cook dinner, easy peasy.
I was going to say my DH is Asian and we definitely use a rice cooker every time we make rice. We have two actually - a large family rice cooker, and a small one we bought for vacation for DD (white rice and soy sauce is one of the few things she'll eat) but we have ended up using at home also since it cooks in 15 minutes instead of 30. And it's super cute
I'll have to try freezing rice for fried rice. I've heard of putting it in the fridge to dry it out some, but never tried freezing. Thanks for the tip!
