Wait...You can book Disney resorts with American Airlines points?

Where ya been, girl!?! Lots of chatter recently about all this. There is a thread on the DISchurners reddit group about the 'grAAvy train'. Check that out but basically, yep! Several of us are starting to earn AA for that purpose. The prices seem to be same as Disney and points redeem at 1cpp.

Our winter break is 2 days here

I know. I am always amazed at the Prez day crowds at WDW. Our kids get today and some districts gave last Friday as an 'inservice' kind of day but not sure they even do that every year.

All the schools are off here on LI and a lot of the NE for winter break....so that may account for the longer wait times

Lots of districts all over have this week off school for a mid winter break. My old one doesn't but the one next to us does and they didn't have school at all because of the snow last week (a bit extreme since most others had it at least 2 days) so I'm sure the parents there are loving having the kids off 2 weeks. Hopefully some had vacations just to destress from last week.

Looking for DPs concerning posting of the bonus on AMEX Hilton Honors. Met the minimum spend (including making sure I went over the MSR minus the glitch on January 31st spend!) and my closing date was yesterday. Any DPs on when I can expect the 100,000 bonus points to post?

I assume this is your first AmEx card, otherwise they typically post within a couple of days of meeting the minimum spend. If it's your first card, it can be a while, like 2-3 months. You might be able to speed it up by paying off your balance quickly.

If this is not your first AmEx card, and you haven't received the bonus yet, then something doesn't seem right to me.

We didn’t get any days off for Presidents’ Day. We were supposed to have just today off but we had to make it up for a snow day....even though we got about 5+ inches of snow yesterday smh

FYI, Dell is 17% back on Topcashback! Takes forever to cashout from them though. I used 10% AMEX offer in November plus 20% back from TCB. The 20% from TCB just became payable a couple days ago.

It seems that the best time to use those AmEx Biz Dell credits will be Presidents Day and Black Friday every year.

Thinking about going for the CitiBusiness AAdvantage. I am 4/24. Is Citi the same as CHase/Amex with business cards in that I’ll still be at 4/24?
It looks like I would get 40,000 miles, but could request a match for 60,000 and get the $200 credit for a AA gift card? There isn’t a 50,000 offer I’m missing somewhere is there?

Quick question. I booked a cruise to get the minimum spend on my CIP (in October). I need to cancel the cruise (going to try Madrid / Sevilla on points instead to save some cash) -- how will this affect my 80,000 URs? Will Chase take them back or am I okay?

Yes, totally missed this! My life is kind of nuts. I have a business, DH has a business, I do accounting and HR for my dad's business. We homeschool and the list goes on, haha. Crazy life and crazy fast moving board, I get behind quick! For example, I think there's about 4 new pages since I posted another post this afternoon. I need to do better keeping up with this lucrative hobby!

Anyway back to AA via Disney, LOVE it, I have some AA points now that I can't seem to use for flights (which is esp annoying as AA is so big in our local area and is almost always the only or one of a couple airlines to fly anywhere direct). I will look into it this evening for sure!

I would agree with this, my AMEX bonuses, usually post within a day or two of spending, before the statement even closes.

Click it and you've "retweeted" you won't get much confirmation besides it might turn green and when you look at your feed it will say "you retweeted" above this tweet. Click the heart and you've "liked" it. I say do both, when you retweet it those tagged with get notice of it and when you like it shows how many people are sympathetic/understanding/feely-like about the tweet.

If the weather has you thinking of a NCL or Carnival owned (carnival, HAL, Princess, Seabourn) cruise, Amex has new offers

I did manage to get the NCL on 1 of my 4 cards! After I used all my UR points through Chase travel so all payments go through Chase

But does anyone have experience with using it for other stuff? It says shore excursions don't count but is it really true? And is there a difference if I book the excursion through the web vs the phone maybe? I can charge our gratuities but that won't even be half so I'd need some excursions or maybe spa passes to get it over the $500 mark.

Yes, you will still be at 4/24. The 40,000 with a match request and a $200 credit seems to be the best way to go as @SouthFayetteFan mentioned to me, but I believe you can request to match to 70,000. I am going to be doing this same thing in the next day or two.
