We've done this SEVERAL times and never an issue. Most recently on NYE, we kept hopping back and forth between AKL CL and BLT and never had an issue.

Absolutely not. There's not really a way for them to know who is and who is not a DVC member. I guess they could see you coming out of the DVC rooms since they're on the 6th floor but it's not like they've seen me coming and scatter. We've stayed there too many times to count at this point and I've never felt like I was treated differently.
I went back a few pages and didn't find the post you were quoting, so I'm going to piggy back off your post.
We too have been told we could access the CL floor all day, and have accessed it after check out.
The big issue we've had when trying to hop between resorts is the amount of time it takes. You might think hopping between WL and CR or Ft. WL would be easy, but either can take a while. One trip we went from WL to Ft. WL at night, and the CM insisted we could NOT walk back after dark. The shuttle bus never came after 45minutes! (there's supposed to be a WL/Ft. WL dedicated shuttle bus.) So we missed desserts and seeing the fireworks from our room.
Another time, we waited too long for the boat back to CR from WL. We'd swapped between WL and CR that day, then hopped back to WL to use the pool. I think we allowed 45 min to get back to CR, but it wasn't enough time.
I should ADD - the Universal CL's do NOT allow all day access (on day of check out). I think the elevator access ends about 1pm. It certainly goes until 11am, and
if you are already in the lounge they won't kick you out; you can hang as long as you want. They do allow early access on arrival day though.
As far as AKL +DVC +CL: I wouldn't say the staff treated anyone any differently, but as a guest, I could readily identify the DVC folks - or at least some of them. When we visited, the DVC folks kinda all did the same thing: about 4:30pm they'd send 1 person to hold each table. Then about 5:20pm, the rest of the group would arrive. I noticed them because, more or less, other folks couldn't find places to sit. If they hadn't held the tables, we'd have been done and gone by 5:20pm.
Mind, it wasn't just us. Two men nearly came to blows!
While another guy, more or less, used part of the serving table as if it was his personal table. It was kinda gross, since he was more or less eating right over a food tray, almost as if the serving tray was his personal plate.
We haven't been back to AKL since that trip. And we loved ALK CL prior to that trip.
