Do you have to be in the park to join the virtual queue or can you do it from your room, on your way, etc, via MDE?

All members of your party who want to join a BG must be in Studios.

Tapped in at 6:13am
Got BG 96 on second effort; did not recognize that we had entered initially

..Also, this two hour window, apologies if it's been asked before, but say my BG gets called around the time I'm building my saber, do I really have two hours? I know they say on the app getting a BG doesn't guarantee you on the ride, so I just want to get some takes so I know I didn't screw myself by booking my lightsaber for 10:45. Any advice is much appreciated.

Another thing that may well be possible here, is if you get a somewhat later boarding group go over to Savis in the morning and ask to be moved up - when they change the schedule to open the park earlier like this they often have walk-ins early in the morning - as does Ogas. If you ever see a short line at Ogas Cantina, you can just feel free to wait in line and tell them you have no reservation. You can often get in quickly, in the morning almost immediately...

Oh cool, thanks for letting me know! I actually booked my droid making for 7:30 with that thought in mind. But I'll also keep this in mind regarding Savi's. I know no guarantee, but at least I have my 10:45 reservation time regardless.

At the park at 505. Walked from Beach Club, boats were running but we didn’t want to wait. Got through bag check quickly. Went towards green fence and waited at ticket booths as we were that far back. Turnstiles opened at 5:32 and we got through very fast. No thumbs. Just waiting now.

We are waiting too. Walked from Dolphin at 5:15 and arrived 5:30. Through security and into park by 5:45 and now waiting. Nervously, lol. And..

Left bwv at 5:15. Tapped in 5:40ish. Boarding group 39. Had no delays using cell service. Do. Not. use Disney WiFi. It seemed people having trouble used WiFi. Also do not open Disney experience app until 6am.

Strange and for discussion... I probably had a boarding group 10 seconds past 6. No idea how 39 filled so fast. Literally no key stroke error; moved as fast as my fingers could hit buttons. Are they holding groups for dedicated people?

cant wait to check it out, will report back later.

I think the ‘joining BG process’ is randomized.

Even with having to remove 2 members of my party because the system didn’t recognize them, I joined BG 35. Then a few seconds later, DH and DD emerged from the store and we 3 took two steps to the GET CM. She was finishing booking for a family and they joined BG 36. How could that be? They were booking quite a few seconds after my booking and then only at 36?

your probably right on. Figured to get in early so we could leave early. Didn’t want to get up at 5am and then have to wait till 8pm to ride...but it’s probably random as you said.

Off the ride at 7:00. Interesting that this morning that had going through FastPass line and skip the queue. Not sure if that was because it was early and there was no wait or not.
Also, no spoiler, but they seem to be having trouble with one animatronic. Had a different experience this morning. Still an amazing ride.

This may even be the case without it being intentional. Different servers in the farm may be allocated different boarding groups and whatever one you hit you get the first one it has left.
