Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

WOW! Okay. Hmm. This may change our room request from Jamaica to Aruba then. We mostly don't want to be crammed in and dealing with craziness to MK. We honestly may just Uber to AK. but MK is complicated with the TTC
I was thinking the same I booked this resort thinking that the two sides would get separate bus service. Now instead I find out that if we stay in Jamaica there will be 7 bus stops before the bus finally leaves, and we have 4 days planned for MK and 3 days for AK! Maybe Jamaica it's not the way to go...

Can anyone point to a list of where the Standard Views + Fifth sleeper rooms are located? I can't seem to find anything.
The 5th sleepers are spread across all the buildings. If you look at the resort map the standard views are anywhere that doesn’t face the lake or pool.

People have reported getting separate bus service during the mornings for park opening. If you plan on leaving for MK or AK later in the day, it won’t be separate service.

Yeah we are not early risers plus we were planning to wake up go to the pool and maybe start heading to the parks around 2 so not much help there....

Anywhere in Aruba or Jamaica that doesnt face water. Those are the only 2 areas with standard rooms.
Right. I was thinking of view, and the preferred section have standard views or don’t they call them standard view in preferred buildings? Just wondering are lake views the same price as parking lot view in preferred buildings?

Is there any category of room that has less of a chance of being a connecting room? Last time my wife and I had a room that was a connecting room we kept hearing our neighbors during the night. I think we plan to try out the touring plans request system for the first time but just curious if connecting rooms are more or less likely to be available in certain room categories.

We stayed in Barbados, but took the Skyliner to HS and then the bus from HS to MK. Not sure it was quicker, but less stressful. We stopped at Joffreys for coffee before getting on the Skyliner. :coffee:

I think the best way to be adding a request of Non Connecting Room on your reservation. If you just look at TP and request a certain room, the room assignors will have no idea why you’re requesting that room, and if it’s already blocked off will just give you another room.
I think it’s always best to just tell them what you want like Jamaica 44, non connecting room, high floor for example.

Oh absolutely. We don't plan to request an actual room. We honestly don't care where our room is. We just want to make sure we don't have a connecting room.

There are 5 categories of rooms. (Not accounting for 5 sleeper requests)
Standard
Pirate
Water view
Preferred
King

Water view could be in any of the buildings. As long as it overlooks water.

Preferred refers to location in resort, not view. Preferred rooms are in Barbadoes and Martinique exclusively. View could be anything

King could be in any village or view except Trinidad.

Standard is any room in Jamaica or Aruba that does not overlook water. There are no standard rooms in any other village.

Pirate is only in Trinidad.

I'm sorry if this is a repeat question I've been away for awhile...
So skyliner isn't open early enough to get to HS early to get a boarding group for ROTR correct?
So then buses will be running at CBR in time to get me there early?

What is typical skyliner opening hours half hour before park opening or?

When we were there MLK weekend, Skyliner was opening around 7:30 am. We took an Uber at 6:15 am to get to HS for RotR. We waited for a bus for 10 minutes, never saw any buses. Decided it wasn't worth being late. The Uber was about $7.00

Jamaica is a great location. We have had over 70 nights in a room in Jamaica and have never had an issue with the buses. The mornings are great because it's the first pick up and you only go to Aruba before heading to your destination. And even when they don't split the resort, Jamaica is the 5th out of 6 possible stops. Don't know where you got 7 bus stops.

Correct.

Definitely. We were regularly on a bus before 6AM and in DHS by 6:10AM.

7:30AM-11PM.

Thanks I wasn't sure if they differentiated the preferred rooms into water or standard. I’d be choked if I got stuck in a parking lot view in preferred building when I could have a water view for same price!

You can though. There are quite a few Preferred rooms with that fact the parking lot. Barbados 26, Trinidad 31, 33 have the most by far. This is a little known issue, you can book a King or Water View room and be right next to a Preferred room.

That’s a lot of nights! When we stayed at CBR back in 2007 we were in Jamaica and was usually first bus pick up, and many times first to be dropped off depending on which entrance bus driver used.
Good to hear it’s still first pick up in mornings anyway!
I‘m excited to see all the changes. Made adr for Sebastians. Have you tried it?
