Question... for our upcoming Vegas Trip in May (which I'm sure we will be cancelling). I have 6 rooms all booked with Chase and they are refundable so no problem there.

My families tickets are booked with Delta Chase UR's. Delta just extended it's waive of fees until May 31st. So, assuming I can get all the UR's back on those?

My brother paid for 5 Airline tickets. Him and his wife, our Dad and he paid for our nephew and niece. I realize he will get a voucher but will he get it for all 5 of them or will they all get their own. Just wondering what to expect on that?

Funny, I was the one who got light-headed and had to sit down (and at the time, I was actually assisting until the doctor became available). Wife did fine
I get light headed just by sitting in the room waiting for the doctor. Dh is always at my appointments to help talk me through it and slow my breathing. It drastically lowers my heart rate and my blood pressure gets low, too. If he wasn't in the room I would most likely pass out in the chair.

Curious as to how Trader Joe's have been. I have some things I'd like to pick up (although I don't have much freezer space) but I still have PTSD from my trip on 3/12. Usually I'd try to go at opening (which is now 9AM) but I don't want to wait in line if I don't have to. I wish I weren't so particular about my turkey burgers and tortilla chips.

I had to run my dw this morning and I have to buy pods when I go out. There's only two of us and it has increased the kitchen mess. We are overspending but I think it will even out as we had quite a budget that was going to carry out, mostly daughter but also me.

I did a deep clean of our kitchen today. Fortunately it's extremely small, but it's amazing how dirty it gets when you make every meal home.

We will definitely not reach the amount we would have spent if we were buying groceries and eating out this month. We were actually on a good track at the beginning of the month with not eating out anyways. I feel bad not supporting any local restaurants right now, but honestly I just don't even want to go get food from anywhere. In the meantime, we've made some great greek and mexican style bowls, did ground beef nachos for dinner last night, and have some stuff to make soups too.

Solution to meeting my CIP MSR. Paid April installment of the property taxes for our Toronto house. Yay! That takes care of most of the MSR and also takes advantage of the low Cdn dollar!

I also have our umbrella liability policy and horse insurance to pay. Not sure which card will get those payments.

There’s a big petition about allowing partners in for labor and delivery during this time. I’m not going to post the link but it’s easy enough to find by doing a google search if anyone is interested in signing it. I’m not sure how much good it will do but my doctor was actually the one that mentioned it at my appointment this morning. I can’t imagine being in the room by myself with the anxiety I have that causes me to faint/get light headed.
Our hospital system has mandated no visitors with exceptions for pediatric, obstetrics, and end of life care that are all allowed one visitor. Hopefully yours will be the same and your DH will be allowed.

I rope dropped HEB today. Disney prepared me well for this. Met the Q1 on my DiscoverIt. Got in line around 7:30, way back behind the store (which includes several little shops in the strip center) and got into the store at 8:48. Out just before 10:30 with almost everything. We were going to do Costco as well after dropping stuff at home, but at 11:20 that line was still around the building so we ditched that plan and will rope drop it tomorrow I think. Stopped in to Whole Foods and that was depressing, but managed to get some queso that I hope is good. I love the queso at Costco, but since that wasn't happening today trying to be flexible.

I can't say I have ever set an alarm to go stand in line to enter a grocery store. That's Disney World level stuff.

Our county will enforce shelter in place beginning tonight.

My Costco was pretty empty people wise, but I didn't go until early afternoon and I was back home by 3ish. It was not crowded and people for the most part were keeping space while shopping. I was waiting for a lady to move away from something and when she did move on, someone swooped in from nowhere. Oh well, I didn't mind waiting another few minutes. I have to read newer stuff before buying for allergies.

They had put a plexi glass shield around the cashiers - I thought that was good. I got most of what I wanted but did note the chicken fridges were empty. Lots of salmon, halibut, cod, tilapia, sea bass, crab legs, but I bought frozen fish as it is already freezer ready and in portions - works best for me doing one portion at a time. We already had lots of chicken from my visit before going to HHead. So I bought hamburger and pot roast that I'll cut into stew meat as they didn't have that prepared.

My cart got very heavy fast, as I got litter, cat food, bird seed and over $400 worth of stuff. I guess I needed the flat cart. Some of the things that I needed will last up to 6 months, but I would run out in the next 2-3 weeks, so just got it all now. Detergent, dish pods - that kind of thing. Shampoo and conditioner - $30. Adds up fast. Plus they had a few things on sale that I would normally stock up on like the madras lentils - I like those on rice and at $4 off a box, I needed a couple. I also did more frozen veggies and a few other staples that will not expire before we use them, plus I found a new item to try - a cauliflower rice mixture with some veggies in it - 4 12oz packs for 8.99. Hope we like it!

Checkout was a breeze as they did one line and you had to stay 6 feet apart. I had 2 people in front of me and was directed to a checkout very quickly and every second checkout was open. I put a couple of things on the conveyor but the employee with gloves on loaded most stuff and quickly. Insert card and pay. Leaving the store my favorite guy was checking carts - he just glanced at my receipt and made small talk plus offered to get me loading help as I had a lot of stuff. Everyone was pleasant and helpful! I did my own loading as I wanted to separate stuff the way I would take it in my home. Such as litter is still in the van until I need it. It's like a storage closet for a few things like that.

Churning - used my 2% Navy Fed Flagship for $8.44 in cash rewards. Daughter will share the cost of this trip as well.

Right now, just 2 of us and running the dishwasher once a day and occasionally twice. When DS is back it will probably go up. I chanced into buying pods at Meijer on sale prior to my trip and all the news. Then went to Costco and they were on sale so I bought there also. So before everything happened, I had over 200 pods. Not hoarding just frugality, I normally buy when I see sales on non-perishable items that I know will get used.
I had a dozen or so left. I got the 90 pack cascade for $4 off today. The 92 pack platinum cascade was $19.89 versus $12ish for the one I got. Both work - I buy whichever is on sale. 90 should last about 3 months with 1 wash per day. I also use the Tide pods and that was 168 for $29.99 - months worth!

I received a denial this morning of my UO tickets refund request from Chase via email. I had filled out the online form after the cycle of phone on hold/hangups.
Here was the denial.
"We reviewed your request and advocated on your behalf with Universal Orlando US, but your travel dates and/or destination are not covered by the latest waiver policy issued by Universal Orlando US."

This flies in the face of what UO told me on the phone. They said no money changed hands between Chase and them until I activate the vouchers. Also it states my travel dates/destination are not covered. Uhh...the park is closed during my dates.

My other problem with not being able to talk with anyone is I have no idea of the expiration dates of these tickets. Nothing is on the voucher and UO says they can't help with dates b/c I only have vouchers.
With the announcements of extending the closure until April 19 they gave some FAQs for tickets.

Unfortunately I can't help with the voucher vs ticket debate you seem to be a part of, though. Sorry :(

As of right now my doctor said they are allowing one visitor. I think not allowing a spouse will cause a lot of depression and anxiety in moms who are already prone to post partum

Woke up early this morning with a fever and aches. I don’t THINK it’s the plague. We’re quite rural so it’s probably just something garden variety. It still does put one on edge wondering however. Had been planning to get groceries first thing this morning, so sent DH instead. Poor guy. He doesn’t know where stuff is located in the store. I could have done it much quicker.

What I’m looking forward to, because I didn’t answer this earlier yet...

1. Getting everything settled with all the cancellations I’m having to do. Two trips in March and the big Europe trip end of May. It will just be good to have it all done.

2. Being able to set up new trips in which I can plan things even better.

3. College visits with DD (HS senior next year), getting ready for her graduation and DSalmost21’s college graduation next year. Wouldn’t be a stretch to surmise I may be gaining a DIL next summer as well.

4. Visiting DS19 in Nashville to listen to him perform. He’s been asked to be a part of a chamber music trio next school year and I’m so excited to see how it goes.

I have genealogy trips to take!
I would love to hear about this. I have done research (and DNA) on Ancestry.com. Able to go back 7 generations on my mom’s side, much less on dad’s. Not able to trace anything before US.
Khan is great but sometimes i find their videos very boring... there some other places that can explain it quicker than Khan. Khan is very thorough though...
My son would agree Khan is boring, he tries to just do everything without watching the videos. His teacher did give them some assignments yesterday though, so he’s plugging away.
At this point I’m just hoping they don’t separate me from the baby
You should be able to ask now what the policy is.
It's also amazing how often I'm running the dishwasher eating three meals a day at home.
I’ve got enough TP and paper towel, dishwasher detergent is running low. Can’t find kleenex anywhere.
