I COULD TOO! And that's about all they're doing...sitting on the balcony, looking at the view and drinking wine! Texas reported 7,000 new cases today and she said Galveston was SO crowded so they're not going out much at all. Getting take out for their meals and scheduled in room massages. This is a hotel/condo and they offered zero refunds for "covid cancellations". They'd reserved this suite when they thought they'd be at dance competition....each of the mother's have dancers for Center Stage and they're all in Katie's groups. The girls are still having dance classes preparing for next weeks competition...WE HOPE...so they couldn't go. They got schedules yesterday so it's still "a go" but with all those new cases today I'm getting really nervous. At least if it gets cancelled too Katie WILL get to go with us next week.

7000 that's kind of like Florida. Crazy. I'm sure cases up here will spike once everything opens up again. I see so many people out there without masks on. We wear ours whenever we go in public. Some stores require them but most don't. We went shopping yesterday at the outlets. We were in one store and I slipped my mask down below my nose to smell some body spray and immediately got yelled at to pull my mask back up. First time using a public restroom I felt like I needed a shower when I came out.

OK NOT happy about the Pats picking up Cam Newton can't stand him. The only thing worse would've been Kaepernick. I wish they just would have stayed with their draft picks. Love Edelman but I may have to change teams.

Oh yuk...Cam Newton! You're right...Kaepernick would have been worse but so sorry about Newton! I have some "unfavorite" Cowboys too but "hold my nose" and still hang in there with 'em. It's going to be a really, REALLY strange season!

I'm shocked at that case number...just like I was when I saw Florida's was so high! I'm beginning to wonder about all this testing though. Allie and Amanda were here to swim tonight and I asked her how her Grandmother was...SHE FEELS FINE! She tested positive but she's NOT sick...yet she's still listed as a "statistic"! I'm like that too when I use a public restroom ! Sara had a mammogram yesterday and by the time she finished she needed one...but she refused to use one! Drove the hours drive home and ran into my house! Y'all probably will spike too when things open again but there are now a lot of doctors saying that's almost a necessity. I read an article today about how kids MUST return to school this fall; we've got to get to that "herd immunity" thing and staying home won't do it. Even heard tonight there will probably never be a vaccine. It's gotten to were you don't know what advice to take and who to believe. It's the same here in our county with masks; some stores require them, others don't. Major cities (Houston...and Galveston...) require them whenever you're out in public. I'll continue to wear mine and just hope for the best. AND...I'm going to HAVE to "go shopping" soon...Hobby Lobby is starting to put their Christmas stuff out!

Don't you just hate it when a Wednesday turns into a "Monday". Excited to get Boo her "summer haircut" so Mandy scheduled her today at noon. Took her in the shop and Amanda asked "how'd you get a FAT LIP?" I'd noticed my lip feeling a little numb but never checked ...until she said my lip was VERY swollen; it was ! Oh well...thinking it would get better I went to Walmart and soon developed a beast of a headache and felt very tired. Finished my list, went to the car and checked...lip had gotten bigger! It was noon...dentist office closed for lunch so went to the bank; line almost out to the STREET so went to get gas...my favorite station was installing new pumps so ran into HEB to pick up a few things. Checked with dentist; they wanted to see me but would have to work me in...so...sat in the car (it was "only" 98 this afternoon and AC wasn't doing a whole lot of good ) for 45 minutes. FINALLY was called in...went through the "Covid screening" AGAIN and waited for the dentist. She said, "Yep...a little swollen there"...checked me out..."I have no idea WHY!" A little redness but no infection, gums looked fine, couldn't see where I might have bit myself, couldn't see a "bug bite".... All we could figure out was maybe some type of allergy reaction...or a bug bite...so she told me to go get some Benadryl and take a "double dose". So...back to HEB, stopped to get coffee and went to check on Boo's progress. She gotten her hair cut and just needed her bath and "final touches" so I decided to wait...on the couch...'cause the Benadryl was making me REALLY tired ...and then 3 other customers come in to pick up their dogs so Mandy and Steph hurried to finish them...and then more came in...and I was finally called on to "lend a hand" ... and the next thing I knew I'd been there an hour and Boo wasn't even finished! Bottom line...Benadryl helped the lip but still a little puffy; Amanda and Stephanie groomed 30 dogs today ; it was 6 PM before I got home...but Boo is SO much cooler! From this...to THIS ...
