I called to ask about the cabanas at CR and was told the same-only GF right now. She said to check back and that they be available upon checking or daily.

Has anyone stayed here with the Military discount? Just wondered if they offer it and which rooms usually get offered?

We stayed with a Military Discount in January 2020 as well as January 2019. Both times we stayed in the main building with theme park views. I found that even though Military Discount wasn't available when I first booked (because I booked about a year in advance and the discounts weren't out yet) I was able to find the rooms discounted closer to our stay by calling and asking.

As an FYI, we had 4 rooms total and they allowed 3 of those rooms to be Military Discount

Thank You... Thats what I want is a theme park view... and close to transportation... Maybe by next Christmas all this stuff will be gone and can get some Disney Magic!!!

The only way to get TPV and close to transportation at GF is Main Building CL aka RPC TPV rooms.

The other tpv rooms at GF are farthest from the main building and mono/busses. However SOME are closer to the boat.

Look at a map. The TPV rooms usually water facing at the end of Sago, Conch BPK, Then one side of Boca Chica has many too.

RPC = Royal Palm Club - the Grand Floridian's club lounge. In pre-covid times we think it's 100% worth it. Especially since our Jan 2020 trip was 18 of us total, this gave us a great spot for gathering without trying to stick together in the parks (which would have been impossible)

Every room in the main building has access. As an FYI, the 1st two adults and all children are under one price. Additional adults are $35 each per night. (edited and corrected. Thanks @mickeynut1 !)

Check the menu if you haven’t . It has been modified.

There are so few rooms at VGF there my not be anybody from here at the resort.

Yeah, the dinner menu has been decimated, LOL. I currently have an ADR at The Wave. I think I will keep that one. At least it has 6 choices instead of 4!
