Hey Disney, While Not Sailing, would you PLEASE...

I'd love for DCL to figure out a way to have something open 24hrs on the ships
For those of us who are early risers, or night owls.

Personally I'd love funnel vision to be 24hrs (no reason for it not to be, imo)
But it could also be the gym (or parts of it), a place where you could go sit down and grab a drink or a snack real late at nite or real early in the AM (Flo's, Cove cafe, O'gills) or even the jacuzzi in the adult area.

I can not emphasize enough, if you love Lobster Bisque or Clam Chowder, make a stop at Fishlips (if they are still open) before or after your cruise. You won't regret it.

I will certainly put it on my list to try!
We thought the lobster bisque at our local seafood restaurant was good...then we tried it at Coral Reef at Epcot. So now my expectations are high that this will be as good or better. :)
Luckily, I like lobster bisque and clam chowder. My mom likes lobster bisque. So we should have a chance to try both.
(and yes, Fishlips is showing that it's still in business right now)

I'd like a cruise that spent back to back days at CC where you arrive, spend the day, go back on board, spend the night in your room and repeat the next day.

Are they going ahead with second private “island” on Eleuthera? A day at Castaway, new island, at sea and then back to PC or Miami.

Otherwise (or also), what you said.

Just a guess, but I think they have more important things to worry about right now - like coming up with a plan the CDC will accept and getting the crew back and trained with all the new protocols.
I think this goes for the top management, but the chefs who design the menu, or those who come up with all the activities on board that could use a revamp, those people can put the down time to good use.

At my own company (an airline), I spoke this morning to a colleague in recruitment. At the moment they are not hiring new cabin crew as we have to downsize. So her department is using this time to revamp the lengthy process applicants have to go through before they get hired. Things they normally do not have time for.

It's probably with a good reason, but what I can think of what needs improvement... For airlines so much is automated now. I can go from check-in, bags, customs and boarding all without needing to go to a desk and speak to a person. I wonder how much this can be improved for cruises.

Well, that ship was just a movie prop. Not a real sailing ship. It was just stage decoration (at Castaway Cay), until it was so decrepit that it was falling apart.
The pirate ship was more than a movie prop. It had to be USCG approved to be used on the movie set which ment it had to be sea worthy. At then end of the movie use, Disney was trying to figure out what to do with it. At one point it was on the market but no one wanted to buy it. During a meeting, it was brought up about what to try next, it was here that Karl Holz said that if nobody else wants the ship, he would take it. As president of DCL at the time, he got more than a few looks and jokes for adding to the cruise line fleet. The Flying Dutchman was taken to Castaway Cay and stayed until it could no longer pass USCG inspections. It was then take to another part of the island and retired. (lots of little pieces). I would have liked to have seen the ship pulled offshore and sunk. Then it could have been a fishing reef, a sight for a glass bottom boat ride or a scuba destination.
