So glad I went and looked at the WDW discounts for rooms....it's even less expensive than the Dapper Days rate I am currently booked at!

Sadly I have to call (gosh I hate making phone calls) to cancel the original before I feel comfortable booking the new one, but I am fortunate to be off tomorrow night so staying up in the morning to make the phone call won't be awful.

The total (room only) at the Dapper Days rate is $1882 and with the discount it'll only be $1428!

Of course, now I have to run off and check to make sure I've spent enough on the CSP so that I still meet the MSR for the SUB!

I need another acronym... let's see.. oh yes, this is all to stay at CBR! At WDW!
Ohhhhhh that Disney website. I didn't click far enough to see the tax!!!

Not as much of a savings as I originally thought but still about $200.

I've been on the phone for 25 mins so far waiting for a real person

I'm seriously considering Universal in mid November for DH and me to get away for a long weekend...Southwest miles + companion fare (practically free), 1 AP to get cheaper hotel rate at Royal Pacific. one 2 day pass (or maybe second AP. I'd have to price the difference). I could do a nice, relaxing trip with the biggest expense being animal care while we're gone. Just have to make sure everything is refundable. Need DH buy in and will probably book everything tonight.

I just booked Hard Rock for Thanksgiving week - RPR is sold out for 1 night that we need, to had to "upgrade" to HR.

Well now I am irate.

I had the "new" stay in my cart while I've been waiting on hold. Thinking I should probably refresh so I didn't get timed out, I went ahead and clicked on "check out" and then it told me my cart is EMPTY... and when I go to start over, the prices are much higher than they just were.

Good for you! I still have an international flight booked for Thanksgiving week I'm expecting to get canceled but I'm not going to book anything else just on the off chance...

I gave up. I was going to go ahead and wait on hold to see if someone could help me find the discounted rate but after a little over an hour... I gave up.

First world problems, to be sure.

ANYWAY... I'm still going to WDW in November and that's exciting!

For those considering CF vs. CFU vs. CFF and trying to plan - perhaps this post from DoC will answer your Qs:

And basically, I'd say this means you can pretty much do what you want so this isn't very difficult to navigate!
This is interesting. I had sort of skipped the announcement and discussion but I should look into it.

I'm currently 1/24 (!!!!) but I just got the CSP 2 months ago.

What's the current recommended pacing on applying for Chase cards?

I still standby the old "every 3 months" line. There's definitely a little more scrutiny with all issuers right now around new accounts. There are theories that Chase has implemented some new rules but nothing seems to have been proven as a hard and fast rule. For folks in 2 player mode, if you can alternate cards every 2 months, (meaning you're actually spacing out each player by 4 months), you'll probably find a fair amount of success.

Of course this is going to mean you aren't "always MSRing" - so having good everyday earning cards to use in between those MSRs might become more important. CFF and/or CFU seem to be good candidates to fit that need. Honestly, strategies are all over the place right now, it's not an "easy" time to churn as there's no one-size-fits-all strategy currently.

I have not had any luck with this. Any tips to make it work?
What are you trying to do? If you have a flight booked on 11/3, you'll be able to change it within a 30 day window of that. If your flight isn't currently eligible you'll need to change it to 11/3 or an eligible date first to then make the change you want. The window covers more dates in October as well.

For the future you can book the new rate and then cancel what you have. You just don't want to wait too long to cancel or they may cancel one of them.

Also keep looking, the rate could come back as people cancel or change things. If you see it, book it and then worry about calling groups to cancel.

Just sitting here "in class" while my students are alloff in breakout rooms working together. I have to say, this is all weird still and takes some time to get used to it. That said, it's a 4 day weekend for me. Bummer part is that my BF got a 4 day trip starting today. So is the life of the reserve pilot on a holiday weekend. I guess dating a cop before this prepared me, LOL.

I just figured out I need to buy a macbook and I thought I would post here to see if anyone knows of any type of benefit, portal, point bonus, offer ,etc that I should look into. So far, I see the Apple website has good deals right now. I wish I had an MSR to absorb the purchase price but, alas, I do not.
Make sure you get the educational price if you can. It's a tad cheaper and makes apple care cheaper too.

I think I’ve seen a few others have issues with Chase bank accounts with transfers and wanted to see if anyone could offer suggestions on an issue I’m having. I opened new Chase checking and savings accounts recently. The savings requires $15k so I tried to transfer (pull) funds into Chase from BoA ($9k) and Discover ($6k), but the transfers were rejected by the Loss Prevention department. I tried talking to them to see why they were rejected, and basically they were no help at all and told me to just try the transactions again. I need to make sure the funds are in the savings account within 20 days, which only gives me about 2 weeks to get them there. I’m wondering if I should try to write a check for the BoA amount and do a mobile deposit into the Chase savings account? Should I make the amounts smaller, maybe under $5k and do multiple transactions from each? Should I push the money from BoA and Discover instead? I was hoping to avoid doing that because I think BoA charges a fee (not sure about Discover). All of the accounts are in my name so that shouldn’t be an issue. Any advice would be appreciated!

DS just had a hard time opening his student account. He did a $2000 transfer from our credit union and it was not only rejected they closed his brand new account. :confused3 So he opened another and this time I wrote a check so he could mobile deposit it and he did that on 9/1 and it said funds would be available 9/11! It was very frustrating. I think the funds are actually in there now, not sure why there was so much issue. I referred him to the first account so I suppose we lose on that $50 finders fee since it was closed. He got all the paperwork and the debit card still sent to him for both accounts, hopefully he threw out the right ones. I let him take care of it all, so I am just going by what he told me. He also tried to pull the money because our CU had no way to push it. Maybe that is the issue? There is a limit though and I do think you are over, I thought it was $5000 and maybe $2000 for checks. You should double check on that.

ETA - see this now? I could swear I saw the other numbers the other day when we were trying to figure out DSs problem.
BankACH Transfer Amount Limits
Chase$10,000 per transaction or $25,000 per day

The usual recommendation is to push. You'll have to link the Chase account first (from BoA and Discover). BoA/Discover will do trial deposits to verify the account, it'll take a few days. There shouldn't be a fee. At least I've never seen any on any accounts, including my BoA. If you see a fee, maybe you're looking at a wire?
