DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

@pkondz - I've never BEEN a line judge. I barely know enough about tennis to know what a Line Judge is... :)

Next - Hats are awesome. They just has that air of class. If you do it alone, it seems pompous. If everyone does it, it's classy.

Next - January 2022 is the 25th anniversary of the WDW 1/2 Marathon, and I ran the 25th anniversary of the full. I'd like both medals on my display. My plan is to run the 1/2 with my wife and our friends. Then, on Sunday, they do MK, and I'll run the full (for the Goofy Challenge), and then meet up with them. And, if we're at BLT, meeting up with them is a LOT easier than if we're at BWV.

We're going for Race Weekend, with only an MK day. Using the monorail to get to the race start, then walking to MK - all while renting points - sounds like a plan to me. and 65 points at $17/point is a lot less than 3 nights in the Contemporary A-frame paying cash.
I don't charge that much per point. Guess I'm not charging enough.

Congrats! Must feel a bit strange though?

First day of being unemployed in 30+ years. I'm not sure it feels any different, but it's only been 11 hours since I was last at the office. Maybe once I get my last check, I will feel it? I also start the new job the following day.

Thanks for nothing on the discussion on hats. I told DW about Zerfs house hunting in Florida, in hope that she would look at future planning. Apparently, she is ready to go shopping with y'll to buy some hats.

Nothing on the calendar today. Need to go by the school to pick up last year's yearbook and drop off dr note. Saw a post for an old toyota Camry for under $2K, so I'm going check it out for youngest dd.

Morning, folks.
Not much to report. Supposed to be a nice day. I'm sure I'll appreciate it from inside the office.

So you really haven't had the full line judge experience, then. ;)

Whoa... I'm up to about 10km... I don't know how anyone can run a full marathon.

:worship:
Except at a dinner table. One of my pet peeves. Not sure why.
Because manners matter.
::yes:: :thumbsup2

Shortest retirement on record!

Afternoon guys from the back end of 3 days worth of sales pitches. 6 Companies all trying to convince us they are the ones, which was particularly weird as no-one was in the same room. Had a stand off with about 25 teenagers last night who were d!cking about outside my house. Just opened the door and leaned against the wall looking at about 4 of them. After about 5 mins it freaked them out a bit, and they all shuffled off mumbling various things about me as they slinked away. I'm clearly getting old.

Because manners matter. Growing up, we were taught to not wear hats at the table. So when people do it, it brings up my mom & dad telling me "don't wear hats at the table." I don't know if that's what you're reacting to, but, that's what I'm reacting to.
Probably. My mum and I always ate at a dinner table with the TV off and talked about the day. My kids know the quickest route to the naughty step is to disrespect the dinner table. Maybe its because when my old man left, it was a constant. It does drive me batty though, and I'm a relatively laid back kinda guy. And you are right, manners matter.
Nice to see you around again, congrats on Liverpool winning pretty much everything. I'm waiting for Disney to cancel Marathon weekend 21, I'm pretty sure it's coming.
Amen. I miss wearing suits.
Are we saving for home renovation, land, beach condo, dvc points, or just spending it all on hats?
I thought you'd decided to get a ranch and shoot the sizzle out of everything?
Fortunately, no lasting damage was done and Tiger Tim apologised with a bunch of flowers the following day, although he and partner Jeremy Bates did become the first players to be disqualified at Wimbledon during the Open era.
I really didn't remember it was doubles. Bates was a pretty good doubles player, I think he won a couple.

I can't look at screens anymore, I'm gonna fire up some tunes and drink my beer. Have a great day chaps.

But clearly getting wiser.

No... that can't be it.

Afternoon Dads and a very Happy Friday Eve! Not much around here though looking forward to football starting. Doesn't feel like football season though with so many college programs opting out and no NFL pre-season. I don;t know just seems weird - but it is 2020 so weird seems to be the new normal.

I put the new LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley set on my Christmas list threating to remove kids from the will if I don't get it :rotfl:
Stay safe gents!

@londontime , I mean - I was mad because once it was back live, and they didn't win the first game outright - I was very concerned they would be like the old days, and snatch defeat away from the hands of Victory. THEN - the worst part - is that once they clinched, I could not find them on my TV anywhere.

I understand that in a covid world, group running is a bad idea. I also really want to participate in the 2022 Goofy Challenge.

And you didn't even have to say "Get off my lawn!" You must be very intimidating.

::yes::

Oh - and she mentioned wanting to visit Aulani for our 20th wedding anniversary (w/o the kids), so I've been stalking the boards looking for points.

Now that is a quality 20th anniversary.

😁 not at all mate. I'm a lover, not a fighter. Apart from when I'm at west ham. obviously
Living where I live is great in that everyone operates under the standing assumption that the other guyas a bit tapped. Its like mutually assured destruction. Or New Jersey.
