Merry Christmas Everyone!!! I too am very thankful for this group of smart, kind, and helpful people. Speaking of which, does anyone know the best way to convert over to our new iphone11s that we received directly from Apple (so I guess they are unlocked.) We currently have Sprint and the DDs have older iphone8s. Do we just take out the sim cards and pop them into the new phones? Could it be that simple? I have never done this as we've previously gotten phones from the carrier. Should have investigated this before Christmas, LOL

The Club is open that late and it's decent enough, you can get in with priority pass. Not sure that alaska would let you buy a pass to use if you aren't flying out of seatac on them. It's one of the only lounges they don't let PP use, which annoys be, but there's just too many others with it being the hometown airline. We don't have an AA lounge. You're best bet is to use PP for the club or the plat for centurioun. Lounge info. I haven't been in the centurion yet, used the DL since I was flying them and I don't always fly them and figured I'd save it until I flew alaska and couldn't use theirs.
Thank you so much! This is EXACTLY what I was looking forf at SEA. And the link to Lounges at Seattle is great.

If anyone knows, I suppose lounges will not be open during the nearly 8 hour layover in Chicago from 4am til noon?

I'd check the website for O'Hare and see what it says. Some may not open until 5 or 6, but with O'Hare being such a busy airport they may have something. But all that will also depend on how things are when you travel. But I wouldn't expect you'd have to slum it the entire time.

I am not very techy at all, but we had to order sim cards from Verizon for the 12s since it is 5g. Since the 11s are 4g, I think it would work??? Of course, they haven't arrived yet but the phones work for most things as long as they are on wifi.

Merry Christmas everyone!!

im told ORD is a PP death zone. Im not sure if ur flying to ORD or MDW. only the 3 carrier will have lounges, believe u would need their top tiered CC to get into AA/UA/DL.

@Hoosier John the PP at ORD are in the international terminals so unless you're flying internationally no luck there. No lounges at MDW except military I believe. Lounge access in Chicago sucks TBH.

Oh my goodness, that is freezing! It was 60 here in Denver. Sunny and warm. My boys played outside with neighbor kids in shorts lol! We've had more warm than not though. DD20 and I got sunburned a few days ago.
I had a tank top on the day before. The hottest part of the day was 50 and sunny but with 20 mph winds and with the humidity it was really cold. We went on a 10 minute walk then were inside the whole rest of the day.

Merry Christmas!
Weather - we finally had a white Christmas here (central Ohio). It snowed just about all day on Christmas Eve and woke up to about 4 inches. It was cold - 10 degrees F. Luckily DS is still here and shoveled the drive and sidewalks.

On CC news - approval for Hyatt CC. Going to do a mattress run in Jan/Feb for the Globalist status with the bonus promotion. There is a Hyatt Place for 5K points/night close by. I'll just transfer UR points and book on points so no cash out of pocket.

The wife and I talked it over and have decided this is the year we are going to try to buy a house. At least as soon as she gets back from WDW in Feb we will start looking. Of course everything around us has been gone almost as soon as it gets listed.

That's why you may need help from a realtor. I found my home the first day it was listed. It helps to have someone who works with other realtors and can get you a showing right away when a home becomes available if you are in a hot market. Everybody is looking at what's online same as you will be. Someone has to list it or know that it will be listed soon.

I once put a contract on a house that was 'hot' not even understanding that it was hot, and I didn't get it. That's when I educated myself on how the market works.
