When are you planning to return to DLR?

Anyone hear anything about what rides may be closed during the initial reopening? In 2019 and 2020 trips, I couldn't get on Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland or at WDW, so probably won't go until the Star Wars land is fully back up and running...

Technically a lost of attractions that will or will not be running has not been released, but the guidelines only mention a time limit on indoor rides. That time limit has yet to be explained as well. But so far it seems all rides may be running unless the time limit excludes certain indoor rides like ROTR or space mountain, guardians, etc.

As an out of stater, not until they allow non-Californians. Not too worried about it, I was anticipating a July opening and I don't do Disneyland in the summer so I'd be grateful for an October/Halloween trip. That gives the powers that be 6 months to come up with more reasonable and sensical decisions regarding who can be admitted to theme parks.

I'm just happy they are all opening.

I was going to buy our plane tickets for our WDW in trip in June this week but going to give it a few weeks before I do so. Just to see if we get more info on the out of state restriction to help me make a decision and go from there.

I don't want to go rushing back through until I make sure none of the rides (that matter to us anyways) are closed. It'd be a dealbreaker for us if indoor rides (like Pirates or HM) were closed due to restrictions. Since Haunted Mansion and its 'new enhancements' 👀 were mentioned in the blog post Disney posted I think they'll be safe though.

My son is also dyiiiing to see Avengers Campus- he's a big Marvel fan. We were originally (pre-covid) booked for the July 2020 opening week just for that reason so that also factors in. He's had money saved up for so long for it so our return trip will likely happen right when the land opens for his sake. I'm sure the opening date for the land will also correspond with when the out of staters can come again so it'll all work out at the same time I hope!

All I know is the kiddo is like "Mom, Avengers Campus or no deal!" 😂

In yesterday’s Disney news release, ROTR was mentioned by name so it sounds to me like it will be open. But of course this is a fluid situation, likely, and I count on or expect nothing :-).

Now: as for me, I’ll aim for an opening-day ticket. However, I’ll take whatever I can get. I imagine the process will be fraught and frenzied. Kind of like rope drop on Christmas ;-).

We may be surprised! I know there are a ton of CA residents, But I think unlike TOD and the WDW reopening it won't have the entire country logging on at once to get tickets, that has to give some relief to the whole process, but only time will tell lol.

I hope to be pleasantly surprised :-). Whatever happens, like countless others, I’ll report back here :-).

CA resident with a VGC reservation in early September. I'm hopeful, but not 100% sure yet. I'll probably just try to rent out my reservation if we decide not to go.

We are hoping to go in Sept and using airfare that will be expiring then.

We are hoping to take our daughter for her 14th birthday sometime during the last few days of May/first week of June. Last year was the first time ever not celebrating her birthday at DLR, we are really hoping to restart that tradition this year!

So far the closure hasn't directly impacted our plans - last trip was March 2019, and the next trip has been planned for spring 2022 all along (our last 5th birthday celebration). Looking at March or early June, and leaning towards June. Spring break crowds and weather are just too much extra to worry about ;)

I am so excited for a reopening date though so I can start lurking and hearing from guests about all the fun stuff and changes that are going in!

First of all let me say how happy I was today to see things happening in DCA with “A Touch of Disney“. I don’t know why but even seeing photos of the Mickey and Friends parking structure as well as the tram route brought a big smile to my face.

I moved to Orlando last September and have been visiting Disney World ever since. It’s been great but I’ve been following Disneyland news the whole time. I’ll always consider Disneyland my home. I understand why when the full Resort reopens on April 30th it will be for Californians only but am still a bit disappointed. If there were no restrictions I’d start making plans to come back right now. Until then I’ll just vicariously through everyone else here enjoying returning to the parks.

I didn't think I'd return while masks are still required....but I've changed my mind. I am fully vaccinated and have Big Time Cabin Fever. So what I hope to do is go as soon as reservations are available at GCH. Hopefully they will have shorter-stay packages with tickets. I plan to eat a lot of park food to compensate for the lack of indoor attractions. That's my plan.

I am pregnant so I told my husband I am going to have a fun snack every time he and my daughter go on a ride I can’t go on, especially since there are no shows I can sit and watch. That sounds fair to me.

I am newly pregnant too and wanted to try and take my currently 17 month old once before she has a sibling but we will see what the process looks like and comfortable I feel taking her with her obviously not being vaccinated. Even if I decide to leave her home with my husband I will probably take a short trip myself at the end of my second trimester (so mid-summer) because prior to babies I had an annual pass most of the time even though we live 6 hours away so I am in Disneyland withdrawals having not been since I was pregnant with her.

I know I've posted on this thread more than once, and I know I've changed my mind more than once...at one point I said I wouldn't go in a mask - HA! Forget that.

Anyway, new plan is to return in June! I wish it could be sooner, but since it's a 7 hour drive and would require 2 nights in a hotel to visit for one day, I'll make myself wait.
