Snagged a boarding group for ROTR at the 1 PM queuing attempt. It was so funny to see so many of us along the sides sitting down ready to hit our join buttons and the the cheers that went up in our general area for those who got it…lol. Looking forward to checking out the Star Wars area for first time in a little while…

Am I “Scruffy looking” enough to fly it? I’m not much of a “nerf herder” (as I saw on someone’s Star War’s related tee today) though….

Waited a bit over an hour for Smuggler’s Run…. I wish I hadn’t tried to “do my job” (flight engineer) because I was so concentrated on trying to keep track of when to press my light up buttons that I didn’t “take in” the Falcon’s cockpit or really pay good attention to the ride (as far as what was going on out the window). If I was to do it again (and would not wait that long to do it, BTW), I would just sit back and enjoy watching so that I knew why I was pressing all the buttons for the next time. It’s almost like you need to go with 6 people you know and also know what exactly you each need to do if the whole idea is to work as a team to do better/make a better score. Anyway… needed to try to know.

So I thought Galaxy‘a Edge was pretty cool. A lot of detail that you could probably spend hours and hours searching out and looking at…

Entering shopping area:


As an example of finding not so obvious cool stuff… here is a little store enclave from the “street” of the market area…


Now a picture kind of looking into the upper right corner of the tucked away ceiling corner…I will ultimately be focusing on circled area, but notice still can’t really tell from out here what we are looking at…

Now, when you go into the store and look up into the corner area, you find the really cool hanging model…


Point is, you would never know it was here from just walking by on the street and looking at store front… and there was a lot more in just this little store and then many more stores with stuff. Lot’s of detail in this land… I think the Star Wars super fans who got to work on putting this whole place together were in their glory!

These looked like “pedal car” versions of speeders (little kid sized)

@4077 We did RotR and we loved it. When getting off the transport....(the stormtrooper scene)...I'm not sure you can truly appreciate the scene from pictures alone. It is an amazing sight in itself let alone the entire ride.

At AK, today… I am currently waiting for my boys to come off their 6th (DS15) and 4th (DS11) EE ride:

Saw a frozen fruit bar on sign that I had not seen before… the strawberry/lime/raspberry fruit bar. Getting close to being able to buy a whole box of Mickey bars at home for less! (Yes yes, slightly smaller and not EXACTLY the same, buuut…)

Friend of mine works with the birds at the show here at AK (company doing the show not part of Disney, so he not a CM… but his wife IS a CM who works behind the scenes with DISNEY’s birds here at AK.. they both got laid off from Sea World after almost 20 years for both of them… one before Covid and one after). Anyway, loved the show… this isn’t one of my friends, but Bald Eagle was cool!

And ONLY as observation of a few days….

It appears that mask rule compliance inside of buildings is about 95%.

I would guess about 50% in lines where you are still outside in the heat, but have passed the portion of the queue where they tell everyone you must fully wear your mask beyond this point.

I would further guess about 25% wearing masks “outside” where there is no requirement to do so.
