Here is how you can best voice your displeasure (or approval) regarding the Genie/Genie+ service

Send an email to: wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com
Keep it polite, brief, and to the point and also try to include suggestions to improve/fix what has been announced.

Visit the Genie videos on YouTube, and vote with your thumbs down (or up if that’s your bag)

Even if Disney does not want to hear it, Disney needs to know your thoughts and feelings, because they matter.

Be proactive. Time will tell.

I’m sure there are other ways to voice our opinions directly to Disney. Please share in this thread for others to utilize.

My voice is my pocketbook; I just won't go to Disney World. To pay higher park ticket prices for a lesser experience (cutbacks with street entertainment, shows, parades and fireworks), and then extra for Genie + and Lightning is just too much for me. This doesn't count all the other cutbacks like meet n greets, etc., too.

This is exactly the kind of feedback you should give to Disney management. Simply not going doesn't get the message across.

I find this telling, and hopefully something to give Disney pause

Disney video 1: 7600 thumbs down, 823 thumbs up : a 90% disapproval rate
Disney video 2: 11000 thumbs down, 1300 thumbs up : a 89% disapproval rate
Disney video 3: 5200 thumbs down, 738 thumbs up : a 88% disapproval rate

as of 8/21/21 7:40pm EST

They are also taking it for granted that everyone has unlimited data plans, or even smart phones for that matter.
And what of those who stay up late to attend the after parties, or go to Disney Springs for late dinner & drinks? I don’t think they will want to be up by 7am.
the previous system let them plan their fast passes later in the day so they could sleep in.
I actually don’t have a real problem with Disney charging for fast passes, I think everyone knew it was coming. But the extra charge for “premium attractions” is just wrong in so many ways.
There is zero benefit for onsite guests (except the opportunity to spend even more money before everyone else on the “premium rides”)
And do all these people seriously want to be looking at their phone all day instead of their family, friends, and the scenery around them?
Im sorry, but bad call Disney, bad call.

Thanks for having this out there. As a DVC member who stays for months at a time this is just not realistic. I can see it for the majority who go for a day or two here and there but for us we may as well stay home.

I have no problem paying extra to either skip lines or make the line consume less of my time. I’m on vacation for the fun. Waiting in lines isn’t fun for me or my family. I’ll take (buy) every advantage available to make my time more enjoyable.

Sure it sucks it costs more money. But what doesn’t? Everything is going up in costs. It’s just what it is. Complaining about vacations costing money is like complaining water is wet.

I guess I have no problem with them charging for it, as that will hopefully bring the numbers down of use, which should not slow standby down as much. I think they should have included one freebie for all on site that you get added to your account at checkin to your resort, that you could choose at your leisure. We did Universal for a day last trip, and I ponied up the $$ for express. But I didn't do trips every year even when my kids were young, it was always years between trips. So I'm willing to budget for that.

Instead of 7am, they should have it set as 24 hr before your 1st park reservation. So you can plan your first day better. And they need an alternative for those without smartphones or unlimited data plans or grandma's with low tech skills.

It annoys me to have go use my phone so much, I got magic bands to avoid it as much as possible last trip. And their wifi was awful when I did try for mobile ordering. But it funny, everyone who worked the old fast pass system, used their phone day of extensively, and I know people here use the touting plans ap now, so I'm not sure why those people are complaining. I personally thought it was crazy to have the fp window at 6 mo. It rewarded super planners and diisney insiders more than the average guest.
I think to maximize average guest satisfaction, those windows for ADR, and fast passes should have been shorter. But 7am day of is too short.

The previous FP window was never 6 mo.. It was 60 days for onsite guests-30 for off-site; ADRs were 6 mos. and now those are 60 days. Planning 7am day of is awful and no on-site advantage other than getting to buy your 2 up charge rides for an undisclosed amount 90 minutes earlier. Everyone gets to schedule their first free ride included in the $15 genie plus at the same 7am time.
