Obvious choice is "Kite Fails".

We saw the 12:15 show today. It had a delayed start and still didn't seem to go as planned, though it's not clear that anything better had been planned.

ETA: We also saw the bird show for the first time today. It was immediately better, simply by having a shaded theater and chickens that could turn on the radio.

Rolling a modern jet ski is fairly hard to do on accident if you have any experience riding it.

What do you want to bet cutbacks extended to things such as Jet Ski Operations training? … I can hear it now, “hey guys, instead of training people on Jet Ski operations let’s just have them check a box and sign here that they know what they’re doing and they’re at fault if they get hurt? So. Much. Cheaper.”

I felt like that with the flag show in Italy. My kids did better in high school with color guard. But you still felt like you had to clap for them.

Replacement idea:
Slow moving boats driven by CMs with experience, carrying beloved characters. Lose the kites. Dance party on the water.
Let’s not reinvent the wheel. Give the people what they want. They want characters (and fireworks but fireworks scare animals, so…).

Move the barges from epcot to AK, triple the number of fireworks at epcot. Two shows, happy people. If they insist, have CM drive around the lagoon at epcot with lighted kites.

I thought of that and was visioning me trying so hard not to that I pop my ears. Perhaps sitting on back row is best.

Kinda like what they have been doing but amp it up.

When Rivers of Light came out (no not a fan) I kept saying all we need are boats doing the river circle ...

Daytime some cute floats with characters playing their music and waving to all (kinda what they have been doing) AND

Night those gorgeous glow floats just meandering around the river with peaceful music playing. I know the elephant was probably too big but make some new ones. Low manpower cost just like the Electrical Water Pageant. That has been running with great success for 50 years!

I'm pretty sure I can skip this, like ROL. I wonder why they keep doing such strange shows in this area?

You know the problem is they spend a FORTUNE building that theater, that too tight, too hard to use theater. They don't want this space to look pointless and they have no budget so we get .... a mess. What next, a water ski show with skiers in animal costumes?

Tryin' for Flyin' gets my vote I wasn't too excited for this show but after reading this thread it is a must-do!

Edit: I just read they canceled all todays evening performances. They better not chicken out tomorrow.

It has nothing to do with AK, but if you wanted a real night time show that was animal friendly and kept people there at night…..put in World of Color. It would take a lot to drain that area and install everything needed but it could be done and it could run for a decade easy and just be updated occasionally with some new scenes.
