When we talked last night, I told her I really missed her. Her response was that I just saw her.

Glad your trip went well - I am looking forward to the details. I saw one pic on Instagram of the two of you so knew you were spending time together. It is never enough for us when they are young but they begin to treasure it more as we age! Sorry there were few bumps in the road but I guess that too is life. It looks as though she is enjoying her life and making her way. I imagine it has been a pretty big transition from a college intern to a management position, but I am sure she will do well.

We did spend a few days together, but I also had some just me time too. She is all about the photos on Instagram.

It is never enough for us when they are young but they begin to treasure it more as we age!

What's a trip to Disney without some ups and downs? She is still trying to find the balance between the fun and the responsibility. She did say it's getting better. She is still waiting to see if she gets an offer. She has already told me she does not want to come back to Baton Rouge.

Danielle Update

Danielle called me today in tears.

She had just gotten "the call". Her official offer to work for the Mouse.

Her PI ends on June 11th and on the 12th she will officially be a leader, a salaried employee with benefits!

I'm so proud of her and so happy. Her dream of working for Disney has come true.

She was offered a leadership role at Backlot where she has been training since January.



I have officially lost her to the Mouse.

She and some friends have been looking for a house to rent together and haven't had much luck yet. Now that she know she officially has a job hopefully that will take some of the stress off her.

She will need some time off to move the rest of her stuff down there so we will be making a short trip down there in June. I really want her to fly up and spend some time with family before we drive her stuff down.

Ach congratulations to Danielle and hugs to you Vanessa. Feel like I’ve kinda watched Danielle grow into adulthood via your trip reports and more than a wee bit proud of her myself. She’s handled all the ups and downs life has thrown at her these last few years like a pro and is now reaping the rewards of her hard work and determination. Well deserved too! Really fantastic news for her and now you will just have the perfect excuse to visit WDW as often as possible

She has grown up in our trip reports. It touches me that you feel proud of her too.

She really has had her share of ups and downs on her journey. She has worked hard for this. I think I may have to renew my annual pass next week.

OMG!!! Congrats to her!!!! She is going to do so well with Disney! She has progressed fast with them! I kept an eye out for her when we were there but no luck!

Good Luck to her for looking for a house. It sounds like the housing market down there is tough right not. Well, it's tough everywhere. Such an exciting time. And so good to hear things are looking up for her.
