I just watched a video that talked about how Iger’s ”vanity projects” - the acquisition of 20th Century Studios, Pixar, Star Wars, and the failures in park development have contributed to current problems.

So often, current problems can be attributed to decisions made by previous leadership (Presidents are often given credit or blame for policies of their predecessors).

Let’s hope this does help restore some positivity to the Disney reputation by improving the products and treatment of workers and guests.

OK...forgive the ignorant question...I obviously get that no one is sad to see Chapek go but...what specifically about him was so odious? I'm mostly asking so I can get a sense of how many of the things I don't personally like about Disney's recent direction are likely to change because of his departure.

Chapek ran a program of raising prices and cutting spending which was seen by many as degrading the overall experience. Then they lost a ton of money anyway, which is how you become ex CEO very quickly.

HI I am hoping that in my opinion he took away some of the magic disney created for Disneys Parks . Now hopefully things will change so Walt would be impressed

He raised prices while simultaneously cutting services, and he took Disney into the political arena.
