Did anyone hear about Jeremy Renner's accident?

In my newest issue of People Magazine I read that Jeremy Renner was in an accident involving a snowplow and he was in critical condition until Tuesday but I'm so glad he's doing alright and that his neighbor saved his life. What really drawn me to this story was that Jeremy Renner is gonna be exactly like my dad and it made me smile that Jeremy and Dad are twins now because they both have had leg surgeries too. Jeremy Renner is so lucky that he survived and that is truly a miracle

Always great to be smiling, DG. Especially about good things about dad. :thumbsup2

And yes, I had seen the news story on the TV news. I've never heard of him, but good to hear he is improving.

He's from Modesto, about 70 miles from here and the accident happened in the LaKe Tahoe area, about 70 miles another direction, so it has been extensively covered in the local news and made all the network news and tabloid entertainment shows. I had heard of him.

It was a snow cat - a snow vehicle with battle tank style treads and a snow plow attachment. He was reportedly towing out his own vehicle that a relative got stuck in while visiting his rather large property near the Mt Rose area in Nevada. He’s talked about it several times in his social media posts. This post is 7 years old, so he’s had it for a while.

It was mentioned in the Disney news forum here.

Just shocked Hawkeye didn’t see it coming.. smh.

I'm guessing he lost a limb. A tourniquet was used on his leg. You don't stay intact after that.

The neighbor that put the tourniquet on was a doctor. Maybe he monitored how long the tourniquet needs to stay on and off to allow some blood flow, before the medivac helicopter arrived?
Last I heard, Jeremy has had two successful surgeries already. No mention of having to amputate. And his social media shows him in the hospital being given a "spa day" by his wife and mother, giving him a dry-ish shampoo.

I doubt it. Tourniquets are a last resort option. You don't remove it once you put it on. It took medics 30 minutes to reach him, and then they had to fly him to a trauma center via copter. That's a lot of time and if he was having bleeding heavy enough to require a Tourniquet, it's doubtful he still has whatever extremity it was used on.

All we know is he had 2 surgeries. We don't know what kind. The exact injuries have not been disclosed. That's up to him to share. The photos shared nothing significant. One was just his face and the other he has a blanket covering most of his body. Its very possible he lost a foot, or had a below knee amputation. We won't know until he decides to talk about it publicly.

All I know is that he got run over by his own snowcat. No idea why he owns one.
He lives in a backwoods high snow area. People around here who own property have lots of tractors and large machinery to clear their land and handle snow.

The location would be somewhere on this map.

I’ve gone sledding in the area. There’s the Mt Rose ski resort and Humboldt-Toyiabe National Forest surrounding private land. There are photos of Renner cutting through roads on his land covered in snow in his snow cat.

Have always liked Jeremy Renner and love the Hawkeye character. I was so saddened when I heard about his accident. I hope he recovers swiftly. The reports I have seen/read say he had severe chest trauma and orthopedic injuries. Neighbors say he is always helping to clear the snow in the area after a storm.
