Morning everyone, I was at the GF 10/9 to 10/14 never requested turn down and received it every night. The first night we got in later then usual due to Nate and when housekeeping knocked on the door we just got in, but she handed me some chocolates. FYI I was in Conch Key

The chocolates are the best part!!! I’d be happy if they just threw some chocolates under the door as my ‘turn down service!’ lol

Or they could leave chocolates when making up the room in the morning/afternoon. I won't see them till the evening probably, and even if I did "Hey free chocolates".

Good evening all.

My wife and I have our first trip to the grand floridian coming up in four weeks time. I was wondering how is the best way to go about making a room request? We have a garden view reserved and we are not fussy, just wanted a higher floor and maybe something away from the elevator. Is faxing the only way to make a request?

Very interesting! I am in Big Pine Key and checked-in 10/21.

I will say our housekeeper has been amazing. I have come back from the parks and received multiple towel designs on the beds, items like our Mickey pumpkins put out where we rest, and generous amounts of towels and toiletries. I have not had this in any resort or building I have recently stayed in. She even wrote us a note because she liked the tip envelope!

Wow, I didn't get one towel design, but she was excellent. She came early and left tons of toiletries. I guess its just who you get.

Virgin Holidays just rang me to let me know that we won't be affected by the pool closure as the work doesn't begin until January? Which is very good news if true...

i finally learned how to find the times that the pianist and orchestra play. If you go to the Disney website:
- Things To Do
-Entertainment
-Grand Floridian
you'll see the performance times listed. The pianist starts at 3pm and the orchestra at 3:45pm.
