They put Christmas decorations all over the ride and their corny jokes are holiday themed. This ride was packed too, so I was happy to have a fast pass.
There were so many people! We were in the parks on Thanksgiving and I didn't feel like it was this crowded. The beginning of December is definitely not the slow time anymore.
After this ride we decided to head out of the park. We have annual passes and it makes it easier to just pop in for a few hours and not feel like the day was completely wasted. We had dinner reservation at Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs and decided to use an Uber to get there. We walked over to the Contemporary to get one, if you want one from Magic Kingdom they can only pick up at the TTC. We requested the driver as we walked over. I don't think we'll ever use the Minnie Vans instead of Uber. Those are a $20 flat rate and the Uber ride cost $7 to get to Disney Springs.
Originally we had had Artist Pointe for dinner at our hotel. We changed it the last minute to Morimoto because of the great dinner we had had there before. I had gotten pad Thai and it was delicious. I couldn't wait to have it again. Then we get to the restaurant and are informed the Pad Thai was taken off the menu a week before. It still shows on the online website.
Needless to say, I was not happy. It was the only reason we were back and I had no idea what to get now. We checked on the Disney App and Opentable if there was another Disney Springs restaurant available, but nothing was so we had to stay.
I ordered the miso soup to help with my cold. I love miso soup and this did not disappoint. I was coughing a lot and felt the hot soup would do my throat good.
For my main meal I had no idea what to get. I ended up getting teriyaki chicken bao buns. I think it came with dark meat, which I don't normally like, but I enjoyed these. It also had spicy mayo which I wasn't sure would mix well with the teriyaki sauce, but it did. It was on the dim sum menu and wasn't a lot of food, but I wasn't that hungry.
My boyfriend went with what he had had last time, the orange chicken.
He enjoyed this a lot. He had wanted to eat with chop sticks, but the pieces of chicken were huge so he had to cut them with a fork and knife. I tried a bite and it tasted good.
I didn't take a lot of pictures there, probably because I was feeling a little sour over my favorite dish being gone. Unless it comes back, I don't foresee us going here in the future.
The weather was even colder since it was dark out and I was feeling a lot worse (colds always seem to be worse at night) so we opted to take an Uber back to the hotel instead of the bus. This proved a little complicated as our Uber driver went to the complete opposite side to get us. We explained where we were and he drove past us twice before stopping to get us. He was very chatty and said he'd love to see the inside of Wilderness Lodge. So when he dropped us off he turned off his Uber thing and went inside too.
This Christmas tree is amazing, I love how it's almost seven stories high. We stopped off in Roaring Forks to get some Hot Chocolate and headed up to our room. We caught the end of Mary Poppins on the TV and I knocked out with some nightime robitussin.
Up next: Our day at Epcot and dinner at Ohana
