They are crocodiles on the Jungle Crusie, not aligators (I know the distinction is lost on most). I have never seen a REAL aligator in the JC itself. Even though the waterways are connected, I believe there are some treatment systems that make it difficult for creatures to get in there.

I have heard they discontinued jokes about children and crocodiles on the ride. I don't know if they still point out Ol' Smiley and his girlfriend Ginger at all.
