Allison & Josh Trip Report 11/10/06 (link to pictures)

continuing at the reception:
We entered and saw the room - It was so pretty at Ariels, my MOH and Aunt bustled my gown and Carol brought us a plate, which I should say was awesome through every part of the planning! I feel so blessed to have had her as my planner!
Then we went out and the guests entered through the side at Martha's Vineyard and Major Domo began announcing the Bridal Party - when he got the the Best Man he announced and my New Best Friend John..... he really ribbed him all day, which everyone loved! He announced us and said that he was needed back at the castle and the dance floor was ours....
We danced to can you feel the love tonight by Elton John and were joined by our wedding party part way throug the song and danced with our parents to Remember when by Leanne Rimes (HCOE CD)
Then I noticed Evil Sister in law arrived with the supposedly sick child.....

Great report!!! I'm anxious to see pics!!!! I readthat you provides your own props for the Mad Hatter Tea party, did the cut the cost any? I've been looking into having a tea party and it seems as if the props and decorations are what makes it so expensive!!

As for the tea--- I provided my own centerpieces and some LARGE gerber daisy arrangements for the buffet. I did colorful linens and 2 characters and nixed the props because they were so expensive. I thought what makes a Mad Tea Party? I really just needed the Madd Hatter- Private message me if you have any more questions!!!
Allison!!!!! I am so excited. I have been MIA since I went on my anniversary trip and I had no idea that I missed you leaving for your wedding!!! I am so excited that I came back in time to read your report. It sounds wonderful and exciting--I can't wait to see all of your awesome pics

Hi Jess- Yes I was thinking about you the other day--- glad to see you back!!! I will keep working on my report. I wrote a bunch yesterday and lost it UGH!!! New house is getting moved into, I have been doing a lot of cleaning and organizing! We are selling his could, BIG chair and ottoman to his secretary and have bought a new one - the bad thing is that it will not be here until next week or the week after and they are picking up ours on Staurday =( we have a living room couch that we do not use that we can use. so that is where we stand now!!!!

So we danced then the cake cutting : We had the coral and shells cake , which to me is the most beautiful cake ever! I am a shell girl so that was pefrct for me and loved it from the first picture I ever saw of it here on the Dis Boards! They played Under The Sea... Then we ate, we did a Brunch eventhough it was 2pm but I love breakfast foods and my cousin is a vegetarian so it worked out pretty well. The food was really good- Everything was justw onderful especially the Mickey waffles and the cake, everyone was raving about the cake - we had almond with Bailyes mousse and marble with milk choc mousse and our top layer was choc cake w/ milk choc mousse - One word of advice to future brides esp those of you with the coral and shells cake - Look at your cake, like really look at it- I looked at mine but did not notice the 2 seahorses and other details until I saw the pictures.
I will continue more on Friday - I will be at my mom where I will have full access to the internet then and hopefully can finish this up for you all.

I keep trying to finishe this report - the other night I typed it and then tried to post and it would not let me post and now I just typed it up again and my cat jumped on the keyboard and it left ...........ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am going to try posting in short paragraphs-
At some point between food an cake Evil sister in law came up and told us that she wanted a copy of the video - I kind of blew her off - I just said OK and walked off - think yeah right do you know how much those cost you idiot. You see what she pulled and I am not sure if this was mentioned before but she had planned . Beast (Best) Man her husband called his mom that morning saying that his oldest son was sooooo sick they had to carry him to the bathroom to throw up and that he had a high fever so his mom said bring him to my room which was at POFQ - because she is thinking that she does not want the other kids exposed to him - which is absolutely stupid!
(Back tracking - evil sister in law will not do anything and so we decided to have the sitters come to their room since she is usually not capable to getting her children and herself ready in the morning and getting somewhere. We thought that would be the easiest for them and just have all of the other families come over there that way she would just have to get ready and leave on the bus at her hotel. )
Reason this is stupid : the kid has already been in that room and his germs are already there - she tell Evil Sis in Law (EVSIL) to leave a key at the desk for them - so EVSIL sho never does anything fast jumps in a cab and takes off before the sitters get there - so I am to get in the limo at 10:30 - we are walking out my hotel room at 10:20 and my cell rings and it is kidsnite out madder than heck sitting outside their door for 20 min because no one is in the room - they had called the day before thelling her they would just come to the door finding out what room they were in blah blah blah - the do not go to the desk and ask for a key - so I had to track down Josh who I could not get, finally I got his mother who I told kidsnite to call and I then apologized to them - now after all of that crap she shows up with both of her children at the reception and the oldest one supposedly sick one was eating, and running and playing with his cousins - being a spoiled brat saying that he did not want to be there he wanted to be at Disney World - well as Josh said he was at Disney World - she did that on purpose to all the parents to try to ruin my wedding the kid was very obviously not sick - Josh's parents then half tried to cover and say well he was kind of sick.......UGH!!!!I can not stand her!

So then we are dancing and talking and the DJ says we have some special guests arriving from the Magic Kingdom and out come Mickey and Minnie! The kids went absolutely CRAZY!!!!! They loved them all except EVSIL's oldest who is 5 and a pain and afraid of everything so he sat at the table with his head down and would not look at them which later Josh's mother said that he was not feeling well b/c he sat at the table with his head down - not actually he was mad because they were there - The little ones loved having them there, in fact one of my bridesmaids littles girls loved the face characters but had been afraid of the other ones but ran right up and higged Minnie - so we were thankful for that - it was so worth the moeny to see those babies loving those characters! I would do it again! In fact Josh's grandma is 84 and never been to Disney - I think she was most excited of all - you see we did not tell anyone the characters were coming - Josh and I knew and my parents both knew but that was it - his grandma's face lit up like christmas and I think she had the best time of all of us so it was really special to have a family trip with all of us together and her there as well! Then we danced with them and had pictures done - we did not do the cake cutting with them because I really wanted them to spend more time with the guests rather than with just us. It was absolutely wonderful and everyone was amazed and so suprised and kept asking if that was the last suprise - because we had suprised them with welcome bags, characters at the tea, major domo and then mickey and minnie - and I suprised Josh with the Ole Miss Cake - lots of suprises! Any of you who are having little ones at your wedding I would add Mickey and Minnie - I did it at the last minuite and was so glad that I did - I just had room in my budget because we had some people who were not able to come - so that really worked out great!
My dad was just so impressed at how well everything went - he said that was the best wedding ever and as far as around here it was.....By way of Disney I am sure that it was up to Disney standards - but for what we are used to it was absolutely amazing - I am not sure why you would to get married anyplace else!

We danced more and at the end of the night we were all so tired people wanted to go out and we just could not- Our reception was over at 6. It was an exhausting day, but a wonderful one - eventhough EVSIL tried to ruin it - one of these days.....but the way I look at it you can not have a true fairy tale without a villian in it and she was that, and that joke on the Beast Man was too good - everyone was worried that he would try to "punk" us - but Josh said there is nothing that he could do to top that, in fact Beast Man even said that he would almost have to fake his own death and pop out of the coffin.... it was great his neck began to turn red, and the sad part about it all was that no one thought that it was a joke because they all thought that it was something that he could actually do...hehehhe.....
I was just going to say how wonderful Randy Chapman was - he took over 1800 wonderful pictures and we paid for a 6 hour pkg and he stayed way longer than that. It was really awesome - he loved my dress, it was so funny he kept telling Josh he dress is so awesome....he took a bunch of pictures of it without me even being in it during my getting ready time. I would tell you all that he is extremely talented and you could not go wrong with him - he does a fabulous job - in fact when Josh and I have kids I want Randy to take our family pictures at Disney World! I am that pleased with our pictures!

DJ FRankie C was our dj and he was great also - in fact the best man even tried to bribe him into playing something on our do not play list and he would not do it - so that is good!

The next day we spent at EPCOT with a ew of our friend at the Food and wine festival eating which was really great since we were not really able to enjoy food like I wanted to to prior to the wedding for fear that I would not fit in my gown - I actually did eat more than I thought I should and I did end up losing weight while we were there...I had an inch in my waist where I could have been eating Sleepy Hollow Ice cream cookie sandwiches! Oh well - we had a fun time that day and then that night we had a Farewell dinner at Cape May Cafe- they gave us the room which I believ had been the bar in the lobby at the BC and I had never eaten there but the food was really good- my cousins have food issues one vegetariand and another with food allergies (shell fish, yeast pretty much everything and they were very accomodating)- it was nice- Most everyone had very early flights so we originally wanted to have a breakfast but that would not have worked! But this was very nice-

Sunday monring we got up to tell my mom and aunt,uncle cousins good bye, and some of our friends who were at the Beach Club. Of course the ABC Super Soap was that weekend and the Stars were at my hotel - I am a CBS girl so I did not recoginze many of them but you could tell who they were most nice looking skinny guys with Disney escorts - most of the ppl were tiny- I am talking short guys- I am 5'8 and they were little. We saw Kelly Monace -teeny tiny - actually we saw her several times she was walking around the pool in search of a bloody mary later in the day and we saw Bachelor Bob, Cameron Mathison and that, the soap actress who was also in Color Pruple-
We headed to MGM that day with ,my brother and his girlfriend and my college roommate- we got some bad news that is wedding related, which I can not talk about at this time- which is weird I know and it did put a damper on the honeymoon, will keep you posted- so we then went back to the hotel to eat at Beaches and Cream and my brother left and we had dinner reservations at Narcoosees -which was really good and then that night we went to DTD to do some shopping because it was a bit chilly and we were sooooo sleepy - the wedding really takes a lot out of you!!! We were there at Disney until Friday-
