Are we finally sailing? The Disney Difference Sep/Oct 2016 it's a wrap!

Shortly after there was an announcement that due to an incoming storm the sail away party was going to be held inside in the atrium. I was really disappointed.

What a shame that the weather did not play ball. Was it not very crowded when you had it inside? I am glad that you have a good time.

Tonights animal we think is a seal. Very cute whatever it was.....

The quality of the towel animals has definitely declined. I don't think blankets are suitable for this. I would have had fun guessing though what the latest companion is.

It was very crowded for the party. The worse bit was when it finished the folks waiting at the elevators! This took a bit of time but we were already stacked out there as our viewing spot. Thanks for reading.

I feel like I am so behind with comments... I have the tendency to read updates on the phone or the iPad and I hat typing on both of them... But now I am at the computer and can comment!

First, I am so happy that your dog is fine. Of course I knew he was going to get through this as we was recently turned into a pumpkin and looked very peaceful just before the transformation. But what a scary event to go through while on vacation. It seems like you really went through a couple of not so magical days with the freezing room, feeling lousy and lousy weather. Even though in the end the lousy weather got you a really good spillway party!

I also see that you changed out your lanyard between the cruises. The black one is very stylish!!

I love the look of the new room. I guess this was an accessible stateroom? It looks different from a normal one. And it looks like there is no sofa to sit on or was that just not in the picture?

And for me the seal/Olaf looked like a penguin. Very cute!

Thanks for reading and your comments. Thank you re Huey. He is a special little dog. I like the lanyard it is softer on my neck and you can fit more in it like a drivers linence.

Yes both rooms were accessible rooms. There is a sofa it's just to the left of the bed but not in the photo.

It could be a penguin! Good thinking! It must take them ages to do.

I was terribly behind again. My ipad is not working well so I've had to resort to using the phone.

How sad about CC :( I enjoy a good thunderstorm on land but how pitzy when on vacation. Especially if it interferes with CC.

And to feel bad on vacation is thr absolute worst. Glad some food helped.

Those characters are too cute for words in those special outfits!!!

How cool that your stateroom host moved all your luggage. Makes getting off the ship much more tolerable when its only for a short time.

Thanks for reading Pam. I am sorry about your IPad and that it has got a Halloween spook!

Yes I was going crazy that my migtaine and vertigo would never go!

It was not long on land and actually just in the terminal and back on the beloved ship! It was interesting watching them load it up from the viewing deck.

How interesting about the sail away party being inside. The weather was being quite ornery this trip.

Thank goodness for Lisa taking care of Huey. Sweet little babe! That is such a cute picture of him in his rain slicker :)

Thank you Pam for reading I know how busy you are right now. Lisa is an angel likd you. The weather was about to turn good for the rest of the trip! Yeah it was a b2b a second chance!

It looks like you are ready for Halloween. Your lantern is cute. Does it hold a candle?

Do you have many kids that come around? In our small town, trick-or-treaters are allowed to knock on doors from six to eight pm. We always set up a large cauldron outside full of candy, pull over the patio fire pit and set up camp to pass out candy. We started this about eighteen years ago and now many of our neighbors do the same. It is a fun time for all.

Thank you for reading Kate. Yes the latern is swell. We got it from Costco a few years yonder. It comes with a night light built in that automatically comes on and off. Dawn to dust.

It varies by year re the number of kids. I love to see the small kids in their costumes. We do the same as you with the candy in a cauldron but if we leave it outside it empties quickly... So Jo comes home early from work and hands it out, i can't answer the door being disabled. the rule is if you have a light on your porch they can knock for candy. When you have run out you turn it off. I love your tradition how cool! I do not like it when teenagers come around without adults. I think too old to be knocking on peoples doors.

I hear at Fort Wilderness it can be fun at Disney! I would like to see that one year. We love MNSSHP.

I was behind but now I'm caught up!

Funny with the gal in the terminal in bathrobes and that the did a version of Let It Go for you all.

I'm glad you are no longer in a meat locker! The room looks comfortable enough. Maybe someday we sail concierge again.

((((Sigh))))

I'm glad Huey was OK, so tough when your animals get sick while you're away. We always pay to fix them if it's possible.

I agree with Magdalene definitely a penguin.

Gosh darn, another missed Sail Away. But I think what it ended up being was all good. :) You had a great view!

Your towel animal was super cute, and yes, I think it did look like a seal. So clever.

I"ve never been on a cruise, but they do look really fun. Muster drill, however does not sound very fun.

Awww, poor little Huey. That must be so, SO painful to have frequent bouts of stones. I'm glad Lisa could hear directly from you and you could re-assure her in treatment options.

ETA: I forgot to add that your Halloween decorations are super cute! I love that lantern. It's usually to rainy for our little Trick or Treaters, so we do a lot of indoor stuff at malls and churches and whatnot. But it sure looks like you are ready!

Happy Halloween!!! Great decorations :)

To you also my friend! I said to Jo I am going dressed as a skeleton she did not see the funny side.

Yes I think you ladies might have nailed it with the penguin.

I agree re animals. Fix until it can't be. Until he is suffering. He is full of beans here Lisa did the right thing.

Conceirge is extra special for the disabled travel I think. Less people, good location of cabins and no guest services...

On NCL cruiseline you had to put the life jacket on! That was a super bore. Thank you re Huey.

Shame it is rainy season with you at Halloween but nice they do things indoors instead.

Day 11 Elsa and Anna, Nassau again, Animators Palette

Tuesday 27th September

We woke in beloved stateroom 11000 warm and snug. How I love this stateroom! We had our first breakfast and we were excited for our booking to meet Elsa and Anna this morning at 9:30...

image.jpeg

..I was willing myself to feel better and also the sun was shinning. Positive thinking I told myself.

Cabanas was very hustle bustle, full of curious first morning guests with plates sky high to match their excitement. Jo got eggs Benedict, bacon and pancake then noticed they did steak and was tempted. I had a sugar donut and my Mickey ears of strawberry compote with some melon. The melon they serve on DCL is amazing. Jo got me seconds of compote and a pancake because the food did not touch the sides and I had the shakes from low blood sugar levels.

We got some fresh air, accidentally annoying the morning joggers once more and dodging the maintenance workers that had their Mario like dungarees on. So super friendly. We then made our way to where the frozen meet and greet was. It was in the restaurant Animators Palette. We were surprised and curious at this new location.

We arrived at the room and wowsters did it look different. It had taken on a Arendelle makeover. It looked delightful! All the screens in the room that typically feature the underwater and Crush theme from Finding Nemo now were full of ice and snow. It really was quite charming..

image.jpeg

They had covered all the tables with white sheets to form peaks like snow.

image.jpeg

A CM took our tickets and we waited in line. Soon it was time to meet the Princesses.

image.jpeg

Note Jo with the Minnie bag lol.

They certainly did not rush each group which was nice. I chatted to Elsa and ask her to freeze my head to cure my pounding head. She said once a migraine starts I need to hit the chocolate fondue as although it triggers them chocolate can also stop them. I noted this advice from the Princess and thanked her. Then they took photos..

We enjoyed our experience very much then Jo suggested we go sit on the conceirge deck. I agreed this would be dandy but first I wanted to take Elsa's advice and swing by Cabanas whilst breakfast was still being served. I got a chocolate milk and drunk it. Jo laughed and said well if nothing else it looked nice! Just for good measure I also took a chocolate donut. Hey Elsa said right? You do not defy a Princess.

We did not bother going onto Nassau this day. Jo had her fill thanks she said. We will enjoy the ship. We decided as the adults only area was empty to sit there for a while. It was nice looking at the view. Soon eye scream was open and I got a paper cup and filled it full of chocolate... I also got the souvenir cup from the drinks place by it that I had admired for the last 3 days. This was the start of my souvenir mug craze...

Photo coming up later! Was Elsa right? Stay tuned...

Next up.. A lazy afternoon , conceirge food porn and Animators palette.

That sounds much more pleasant.

I would have been in heaven with eggs Benedict and steak.

It was in the restaurant Animators Palette. We were surprised and curious at this new location.

This is a very unusual setting, but it looked great.

They certainly did not rush each group which was nice.

That is lovely. I hope that Elsa's migraine cure worked.

Hi Polly,

Fingers crossed for you Elsa was right! I love how they transform Animators.

Looking forward to reading more

Claire xx

I think they should do this in the evening and have Frozen dinner times! Thanks for reading Claire.

I hope Elsa was right. Chocolate at any time is heavenly.

Exactly re chocolate I did not need to be told twice to have chocolate... Thanks for your comments.
