Guess I've grown more brand loyal over the past year because everything is so shoddy and only the biggest brands stand by products. Used to be ok with knock offs but started to think manufacturing was getting unreliable, month to month the stuff inside would look or smell different and there is no customer service anymore so it's just me and my angst, no thanks.
At least with a brand there is a reputation of value they want to protect, no brand no reputation so no care.
All fever, health and wellness are big brand, literally collected every generic in my home and threw it out around Thanksgiving, directed my college students to do the same.
All skin care & hair care
All detergents, too important right now to get it wrong
All electronics - those 800 numbers go nowhere
Now I've added paper products because I started noticing skin is bothered, don't know what it's all treated with to get stuff white but who needs the trouble.
These days even canned stuff because I started to notice a weird tinny taste in some things, I wanna say it was green beans last month that made me think, "Huh, that's new - nope."
I'm also drifting towards organic fruits because my mirgraines go off the charts, maybe it's pesticides - no idea.
I was never this way so it's definitely not a status thing like the "Choosy mom's choose Jiff" slogan, no-one cares what's in my cabinets. The gap in quality can be astounding, wasn't always this way but it is so true now.
We live in the land of fakes, no thanks Mocklate, I'd like M&M's.
