Besties, Booze and Brrr!!! With Jen and Joe on the Go 5/8 January Wrap Up and new TR LInk! COMPLETE

:welcome:

Late to the party, and just in time for you to take a break! :rotfl2:
Thank you for joining in. I promise there's a lot more to come. LOL!

We had the poptart last week and it is indeed raspberry now. Loved it, although not as cute as that blueberry one.
Yep. I am sooooo getting this!!!!

I tell people all the time, if there's one tip you listen to when it comes to WDW...it's mobile order! Such a game changer for my family.
Just love not having to wait in a long line.

Aw, man, sorry RotR was down and Joe couldn't experience it. What a bummer.
But, will he?????:confused3:cool1::confused3:cool1:

Disney After Hours at Animal Kingdom Vlog!!!

Hi everyone! Please join me and Joe as we enjoy After Hours at Animal Kingdom. We watched the Tree of Life Awakening Ceremony which was beautiful and at times, it felt like we were the only people in the park.
A fantastic evening and worth the price tag.

I know, I feel the same way. We hang with a lot of the same Disers. LOL! We need to hook up at some point.:D
YES!!! We absolutely should! ::yes::

Loved your latest vlog! I've never done an After Hours event, but I think it would be very worth the price tag. And I loved that I could see Primeval Whirl on the vlog... that is a ride I cannot do ever because of motion sickness but it was neat to experience a little of it this way :thumbsup2

Wow, what a nice after hour event, minus primeval whirl:crazy2:
It looked like you had the park to yourself. It was cool to see Mickey and Minnie meet was open!

Let's plan on it! ❤

Thank you. We were actually surprised it was open (as it's seasonally now from what I understand). The CM's made it A LOT more spinny the second time. LOL!

Caroline, it was dead. It was deader than MK DAH a few days later with you guys. I'm seriously thinking of only attending DAH's from now on so I don't have to fight the crowds. LOL!

Friday, March 6th...We will head to Disney in the late morning for the night. We have a few fast passes planned for Animal Kingdom before we have to check into All-Star Movies.
We were almost in the same park as you will be on March 6th. We had fastpasses at AK, including FoP but when fastpasses opened for Mickey and Minnie RR at DHS and I cancelled the AK fps. I was lucky enough to find out that the DHS hours got changed to 8am for our trip and was able to get MMRR on opening day, March 4th, and again on Friday.
.I'm hoping to add CL access onto our reservation when we check in...Wish me luck!!!!
I know that you can do this at WL. Have they been offering the add on at CSR?
The only ride that's a must is Mickey/Minnie.
We feel the same way and it is the reason we will be at DHS a lot during this trip. ;) We are super excited to ride it.
So, we are now having breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe. I wasn't thrilled with them last time we were there but I'm willing to give them another shot...
We had terrible service but my French toast was out of this world delicious.
LTT is always consistently good.
We avoided LTT for awhile because they had taken off all the good entrees. Who wants to eat a huge feast for lunch? When the public outrage got loud enough they wisely returned to the good menu and we wisely returned to eating there for lunch. :) This is the only restaurant where I always order dessert. The Ooey Gooey toffee sundae is my favorite dessert at Disney. :)
We also used mobile order which saved a lot of time. If you haven't used this, start using it. It's such a time saver. It's one of the great services Disney has rolled out lately...
My husband usually lets me do everything Disney, including handling the MDE app. But he is the one who started doing the mobile ordering because he hates long lines so much. ;)
Unfortunately, at 4:30 pm our room hadn't been cleaned yet. WHAT?!?! So, I went down to the front desk to see if they could maybe speed up the process since technically it should have been done by now. We were given $100. credit for our troubles and Mousekeeping was sent straight to our room to tidy it up.
We were on the 4:30pm cleaning schedule for our room at POR. We got back to our room the first day to find that it was clean yet. I called housekeeping around 4pm and asked them to please schedule us to be cleaned before 1pm for the rest of our stay. They did it the second day but on our third day it was not cleaned when we returned. We heard them outside the door at 4:30pm cleaning the rooms around us but they didn't knock on our door. I just left it dirty since we had enough towels and we were checking out the next morning. But I really wish I had called to get a credit for not having housekeeping clean the room.

Yep, these plans have changed again...LOL! We will be riding MMRR on the 10th and on another day, but those plans are TOP SECRET. :confused3 :cool1: :confused3 :cool1:

Yes! I had a friend just do it.

My thought is that Disney is expensive ( a lot of people can only afford 1 trip in their lifetime). I am paying for my room to be cleaned. I want a clean room when I come back from the parks and I'm not asking for anything that I'm not paying for or entitled to. I was very nice about it. And, I would do it again...My girlfriend was given a $200 credit because she found nail clippings on her floor. YUCK!!! This was the same time we were there but a different resort.

Citricos with the Besties...

Joe and I were so excited for this evening. Why? Because, we were having dinner with @ariane37 and her hubby, Steve. We text a few times in the afternoon and it was decided that we would Uber them to the GF. This would become a trend and one that we looked forward to because it allowed us a little extra time with them each day. #truefriendship ❤ I can't remember what time we picked them up or what time the dinner reservation was for (this was weeks ago now kids). I'm thinking 7 ish...Anyway, they were waiting out front for us at the beautiful WL and looked as cute as ever!!!!

We valeted the car and walked up to Citricos together. The first thing I noticed was that the band was playing in the front of the lobby by the main doors on a makeshift stage. I didn't really like this and thought they were awkwardly placed. Anyone else think this?

We started with drinks at the bar. I know that Ariane and I had a glass of Moscato (at least I'm pretty confident). I have no idea what Joe and Steve had, maybe whiskey...We didn't get to spend too much time there as we were escorted to our table rather quickly. We were given a beautiful table in front of a window where we were able to see a little of HEA.

Our server introduced himself and brought that delicious Citricos bread to the table. Then it was time for our starters. Ariane and I had salads. Steve had the Florida shrimp and Joe had the arancini. We all devoured our apps and moved onto the main course. I know Ariane and Joe had the filet and both really liked it. I can't remember what Steve and I had. I can't even tell from my picture what I had. I'm thinking it was the Snapper...:confused3

Everything was delicious and the service was very good too. I'm so happy Citricos isn't closing and only going through a refurb. This restaurant is such a hidden gem and doesn't get nearly as much praise or the recognition that it deserves...

We sat and talked forever and eventually a few of us ordered cappuccinos. I think we were all a little sad when the evening ended. We did take a quick stroll through the Enchanted Rose before calling it a night. We dropped Ariane and Steve back off at the WL and they, in turn, gave Joe a 5 Star Uber rating. LOL!

If you would like to see a more detailed report of our Citricos dining experience, check out Ariane's TR at Has anyWine seen my Poutine? A friendly January 2020 dining report *F.ARTS eats! 2/19* She is younger and has a much better memory than I do. LOL!

Next up, we hit FARTS...No, none of us had gas.:rotfl2: It was time for Festiaval of the Arts, thus FARTS!!! LOL!

Oh, and Joe and I didn't vlog when we were with our friends this trip, with the exception of Topolinos (coming up later). We wanted to be respectful of them and wanted to focus on spending time with our friends and not vlogging every minute of our time together. Our friends are more important to us than capturing those moments for YouTube. :love2:

That sure beats trying to meet up at the same time and place using Disney transportation. You must have saved a lot of time, too.

I haven't been in the GF lobby since they moved the orchestra to the first floor. But it sounds like the orchestra deserves to be in a better location than where it is now.

That is a good filet and what we always order. :)

Yup I do. When they were building the Enchanted Rose the band was still downstairs but right underneath where they played upstairs and I liked that - although I preferred them upstairs. I totally don't like them right near the door.

LOL! Best UBER driver we've had down there :rotfl2:

It was such a delicious dinner and great first night with you guys

YES, exactly! It was a much better spot. Thank you.

It was, wasn't it!!!! So many more great times to come with more great friends... ❤

How perfect is that???

So glad you had a wonderful meal! Nothing better than spending time with great friends enjoying amazing food!

Hi everyone! Join us in our latest vlog as we enjoy drinks at Nomad Lounge and dinner at Tiffins in Animal Kingdom. This was one of our favorite meals of the entire trip...I may have gotten just a wee bit tipsy too. LOL!!! Hey, that Leaping Lizard was STRONG!!!

Quick March Update...

Hi everyone! So, again, I can't leave well enough alone... :D We are NOW NOT driving back to St Pete on the 7th. Instead, we are staying at Disney another night! Yay!!!!! So, if I were to recap, March would look something like this now...

March 4-6 St Pete

March 6-7 All-Star Movies

March 7-8 POFQ

March 8-11 Destino Towers

Joe really didn't like the idea of all the driving back and forth and asked me last night if we could just spend an extra night in Disney...Umm, of course!!!! So, we immediately got on the Disney website and found quite a bit of availability, which I found very surprising this late in the game. When we saw POFQ had a river view room, well that was just fate...

This will be the first time Joe and I are staying at 3 different resorts in 1 trip.
I'm really excited about this!!!!

2 Updates in a day...Wow!

Yep, I added something else onto our already busy March trip. It's a new to us thing...Something neither of us has ever done...Are you ready??? Joe and I are attending the Star Wars Dessert Party at Hollywood Studios.

We were looking for something to do on one of our evenings and when I brought it up to Joe, he got soooo excited. I swear Joe and Star Wars is like a little kid in a candy store. He's obsessed! LOL! It happened to fall in perfectly with our schedule and just another excuse to pop into what has now become one of our favorite parks, HS. So, I booked it for the 2 of us. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Which ones are you doing Suse???
We are at Copper Creek Villas for three nights, then a preferred studio at Saratoga Springs for two nights and finishing the trip with 2 nights in a savannah view studio at AKL. I have Beach Club villas waitlisted for the 3rd and 4th as Jack would REALLY like to stay there but I would say there is a pretty slim chance of it coming through.

Must check this out! I am really trying to persuade Jack to do VAH but he doesn't seem that in to it. Maybe this would appeal to him. :)
