California Grill has become a tradition for our first night dinner in WDW. On December 14th, we checked in on the 2nd floor and were escorted up to the 15th floor. After a short wait, we were seated at a Magic Kingdom view table, that was also near the open 'show kitchen'. We love watching the chef's do their magic!

Since we had recently dined at California Grill in October, everyone knew what they were going to order before we ever got the menus! Jordan was going to have the sea scallops again, Conner and Brenna were going to have the salmon, and Steve & I love the filet! I also started out the night with a French Martini! Jordan ordered her sushi California rolls, as usual. Conner & I ordered the roasted garlic Heart of Romaine salad (yummy!), and Steve & Brenna had some flatbread. Everything was wonderful! Jordan said that her scallops were better than the ones she had in October. She even went up to the head chef and told him so. He looked very pleased with the compliment. It was a perfect dinner to end our first day in WDW!
Since we had the custom cake for dessert the last time we ate at California Grill, everyone was looking forward to trying dessert off of the menu this time. I had the Where Dreams Come True dessert it was a crunch cake with ice cream and pineapples. It was wonderful! Brenna had a kids sundae with extra Mickey sprinkles, Jordan had Banana and Butterscotch "Buzz", and Conner had something new that I cant remember the name of! Sorry! It was a caramel flan with toffee popcorn topping and blood orange sauce. He liked it. Just as the desserts arrived at the table, Holiday Wishes started outside. Since it was a MVMCP night, the fireworks were even better! The perimeter fireworks lit up the entire restaurant! It was magical!
After the fireworks, we finished our desserts and coffee and said, Goodbye to our favorite WDW restaurant.
