Shot café after a delicious pizza sounds great! Loving the pictures and tour of Milan, the city is much more "city like" than I would've imagined. I guess Venice and Florence is how I picture Italy. Thank you so much for this TR Scott, I've never been to Europe...doubt I will..DH has no interest even though he is 1st generation in America for both his German AND Italian side

it would have been if I wasn't so tired.

Milan is very city like and so was Florence I thought but less than Milan.

I want to go to Germany. That trip is a few years off. I hope you get there someday.

The 2nd day of our trip was an early rising day, 5:30 am to be exact. We had to meet our tour group for the day and we had to be there at 7am so we all met up in the lobby. and walked over to the train station and got 2 cabs to take. We got there in time and soon enough we were on the bus. The bus was a three hour ride and the first part of the tour.
Here is Vinny on the bus. Lorraine sat next to me so on this trip Vinny was odd man out but someone ended up sitting next to him.

The ride was 3 hours so we chatted. A guy sat next to Vinny and his name was Ron. You will meet him later on.
The following pics are through the glass of the bus so they are not the best quality. Please forgive me. LOl.

Along the way we passed Lake Como and no we did see George’s home.

Here is Ron. He was a very nice guy and I gave him my email to exchange pics but never heard from him.

I loved the clouds over the mountains. There will be plenty more later of these in better pics.

About and hour and a half into the trip we stopped at a rest stop to have breakfast and use the potty.

This is the inside of the place. It was weird to order but easy to get. You look at what they have then you go pay and then you take the paper and get your food.

I had a croissant which had honey in it and it was good after I got over the shock of the honey. I had no clue. I also had a coffee and it was so good. Ron joined us and we found out what he did for a living and where he was from. We only had a half hour here so it was kind of rushed but we did it. I went to the facilities and on the way back I bought a water and an iced tea. The iced tea was different. Here is it.

It was iced tea and it had aloe in it which was gel like pieces. It was weird but very good after I got used to it.
The next set of pics are from the parking lot of the ristop. Mostly they are the mountains and clouds.

Here is the building and Ron. He gave me a run for my money with picture taking.

Barbara, Jeff and Lorraine took pics by the sign but I did not get good ones.

Then we were back on the bus and on our way.

Now we are back to the window pics. I saw this place up on the mountain.

This pic came out decent for through the glass.

We went through a town that had this going through it.

Hmm, some menacing looking clouds. Will these affect us?

Hey - you can see me in this picture!! Not really, but you can see where I live, sort of. In the upper left corner it shows Hornell. We live about 25 minutes west of Hornell.

Sounds like a nice flight over with no real problems.

The pictures from the planer are so good especially the first one of the sun coming up. It's too bad that nobody else really enjoyed their meal but at least you did.

Okay, I'm going to go ahead and say it because I know that I'm going to post it over and over and over again.....please forgive me for saying "your pictures are gorgeous", "your pictures are fantastic", "your pictures are awesome", etc. over and over again But, I can't help myself because they really are.

We were finally coming to our first stop which was a church. When we got off the bus we had to walk out in the street to get to the location but when we reached the driveway entrance this came by.

It passed quickly and we walked. The strange thing was once we reached the church we had to walk through an outdoor café to get to it. People eating and everyone just walks through. It was strange. Now we saw this building which was across the parking lot from the church.

Thanks for coming to the Dis! I don't use tumblr so this is much better for me! I love your pre fllight and in flight pics! That is the most exciting part, getting ready to go! Love the anticipation. I dont know about flying over the ocean for so many hours though. I WOULD NEED KNockout drugs!
