I think I speak for all the Dads and say that your boss is a tool.
That he is. That he is.

I can think of another 4 letter epithet for the guy, but I'm from the East End, and probably should know better. Sorry CCT, that sucks.I think I speak for all the Dads and say that your boss is a tool.

Morning, Gents! Well, my life just got a bit more complicated. I came into work this morning to my new supervisor telling me that we need to talk (never a good sign). "Ok," I said, so we headed to his office where he had me close the door...yeah, this doesn't look good. He proceeds to tell me that because of the hiring freeze, my position in purchasing, which was supposed to go on for a while while they looked at candidates, is now going to be filled with a temp who can do purchasing. So if they can get someone in here next week that can do the job, I'll be out of a job next week. Right now, there are not candidates coming forward, so I'm hopeful that I can last another couple of weeks, but that could change any minute. So now I'm ratcheting up my job finding gears and putting feelers out there to all my friends and contacts. Hopefully something will come up.

Ouch. Prayers that good things come your way soon.
Brutal. I'm sorry to hear that, man. Here's hoping they'll struggle to find someone in the current environment and you can hold out as long as possible.
Hi all Disdads!
Joining here for the first time. Been on the boards since 2011, been a Disney fan for a lot longer. Had the pleasure to work for WDW for a few years starting 2012, and thankful I did as I met my wife there! Married in 2016, and moved to Houston for a chance to work for an airline (couldn’t pass that up). We are expecting our first child in August, so dad duty will finally “offically” begin! We still visit WDW often as we have AP’s, and have a couple friends who still work there so it makes it a “cheap” stay haha. Can’t wait to read through and be apart of this group!!
thanks y’all,
Kelton

I knew it!THAT'S IT! I was working at the zoo. And for your correct guess, you'll get a Mickey Bar/ice cream-thingy....or a beer!

Morning guys, from the mother country, Some pretty devastating news last night. One of our close friends, and the Dad of my boy's best friend had a massive heart attack and passed away. He was only 42, and leaves his wife, a son of 9 and a daughter of 7. I was only playing tennis with him the Sunday before last, before the lockdown. Raise a glass of your finest, he was a good one.

Sorry to hear that. To say it sucks is putting it mildly. Having gone through this with my daughter, I doubt there is, but if there's anything we can do, let us know.Morning guys, from the mother country, Some pretty devastating news last night. My condolences and prayers for all. That is a shock and will be a challenge for his family.Morning guys, from the mother country, Some pretty devastating news last night. 42... man, that's way too young. I'm sorry for your loss of a close friend, Dan. I can't even begin to imagine what his family is feeling right now.
My condolences and prayers for all. That is a shock and will be a challenge for his family.

Cheers chaps, We'll just do whatever they need to get them through this. The shocker is that we won't get to go to his funeral, in the lockdown it's immediate family only. I think the main thing is to keep the support up once the immediate grief has passed for them as that's when she is going to struggle, when "normal" life returns, for want of a better phrase.praying for peace

Hey guys, been awhile. How's everyone handling quarantine? Our County in PA is on full lockdown right now
