Fully vaccinated, what is the first thing you did?

Nothing much different- been going to restaurants for outdoor dining and then when indoor opened up have been doing that too- been seeing live music in indoor venues for months and months, been getting haircuts, massages etc- only thing that changed is things that havent opened like big live music venues but as soon as they do I will be back there too. Been hanging with friends like prior to covid the whole time- in the beginning seated far apart in the backyard but now back to normal with visiting and going out with friends.

I’m two weeks into the first dose and ate at a restaurant with good social distancing of tables and staff wearing masks. Felt weird. I get my second dose next week.

Fully vaccinated, what is the first thing you did?

Took oldest son to vaccination site for his first dose. Also took a 5 day RV trip with our RV group (everyone vaccinated).

Made plans in anticipation of being fully vaccinated - got flights to FL in May to see family (everyone in my house will be fully vaxx'ed:)).

My second shot is tomorrow morning. I'll get that done and probably just go back home like usual.

I'll be fully vaccinated next month, and I am planning to go to Vegas this year as I'm long overdue to get my Video poker hoohahs out and bet on some Football, but it won't be until October at least, after the first few weeks of Football have played out. And if Masks are still being enforced in casinos then, I may just choose not to go. I don't want to have to wear a mask the entire day while I'm playing Poker or Keno, only taking it down for a few seconds to sip a cocktail.

I want to do all the things but the kids can’t get vaccinated yet, so we will still have to take precautions.

Booked an appointment to get my hair cut, so that's today.

Haven't had a cut since Oct 2019 so my hair is just long and wavy/curly with no pizzaz, I want my pizzaz back.
Every 6 months I made two low ponytails and cut straight across with sewing scissors.
Today I will be down near Boston's waterfront being a human again because the stylist kindly agreed to meet me when the shop is closed so I'll be safe.

Wonder what other people are doing who've been hiding out, I feel like baby Bambi learning to walk, this clip feels right:

Went to eat at "Outback" with family (all vaccinated) --- then took my kids to the mall-

I haven't been vaccinated yet, but once I am fully vaccinated I will visit my parents and hug my mum and give her a kiss. She's been fully vaccinated for a few months now, but since she works in healthcare and is in contact with a lot of people, I've not been comfortable hugging and kissing her in the past year. I hope my dad will also be fully vaccinated by then, because when I visited them pre-lockdown in March 2020, he had a pretty bad flu.

I'm getting a bit emotional here just thinking about how I've missed something that previously seemed so trivial.

Not much will change - I have learned how much I can live without the last year. I don't miss eating out or movie theaters or, hell, even Disney. We bought a place up north that "gets me away" without having to be around people or jumping on a plane.

I AM looking forward to going to see my mom. She bought a new house last fall and I have not been there yet. Granted, she was in her house PREVIOUS to that for 14 years and I never saw that, either. But, it will be nice to go visit and not feel awkward.

I am not doing anything right away. In June I will be flying to North Carolina to visit one of my nieces, and to see her new house. Pool time!!!

We are not yet fully vaccinated, but we're getting there. DD19 got Pfizer #1 today and DW has Pfizer #2 next Monday. May 3, we will be 100% vaccinated...so 2 weeks after that we're good.

Since I got vaccinated, we have been a little more relaxed about occasional casual dinners out. We go just the 2 or 3 of us, and depending on the weather we sometimes eat outdoors. All of our local restaurants are very good about social discipline and mask wearing.

We don't have any immediate plans, but we are going to be planning several short trips over the summer. One of my adult daughters just moved to Atlanta recently and we'd love to visit them (they're all vaccinated). We also have other relatives in the general Atlanta area, so we might do a combination trip if they're all vaccinated. Or...we have friends in SC -- if they're vaccinated, we might drive up to see them also.

At home, lots of our good friends are now vaccinated (even the 18-20 year-olds), so we'll be a LOT more social this summer than we have been in almost a year and a half.

I've been fully vaxxed (two weeks after 2nd dose) for a few days. I haven't really done anything differently since no one else in my family has had their 2nd shots yet. I got mine first because I work at a school. I've been working on getting everyone else appointments as they become eligible. Luckily, everyone has now had at least their first shot. We will all be fully vaccinated by the time we go to Florida next month for DS22's college graduation. I'm really looking forward to that!

I went to see and hug my parents.
My DD gets her 2nd tomorrow and I get mine on the 23rd then she will be here May 17th. I can hardly wait. She’ll be sick of the hugs by the time she leaves.

I would like to go and see my stepmother but I don’t know if she’ll let me. She’s flipped on getting the vaccine so I’m not entirely sure she’ll feel it’s safe for me to come over even though I will be vaccinated.

Hmm, throw my mask in the air like it is graduation? Actually, back working in an office. We all still wear masks, but are a little bit lax when drinking coffee or talking during a meeting.

I get my 2nd Pfizer a week from today ...About the only thing I've stayed away from is going to restaurants, although I've been to a few over the last year. and the gym. So I'll be back to the gym in a few weeks.
