We are back!
Nothing like coming back from a long day in the parks to a delicious spread of desserts!
Apple cobbler, smores, lemon bars, cookies, all kinds of good things.
I think I must be getting old because I feel exhausted and it's only 8:30! Part of that is due to going to bed last night after 2:00 AM though. Tonight is going to be early bedtime for this bunch I think.
The Studios felt dead today! I guess everyone must be at MK, the longest wait I saw was 50 minutes for Toy Story.
We used our FPs for Star Tours, Frozen Sing Along, and Toy Story, then went over to see Baymax. He's so cute!!
After that we hit the Osborne Lights for the grand finale. I took tons of pictures. Of course
Before I share pictures from today I want to back track a bit to last night's
MVMCP. It was a bit of a debacle for us from the get go due to transportation. After having some appetizers in the lounge around 5:00 we headed down to the boat launch. It was about 5:45 PM. We ended up waiting ONE HOUR for the first boat to show up.
I don't know what the problem was, but by the time the boat finally came the line of people stretched all the way back to the POOL!!!
Due to that issue we didn't arrive at the party until about 7:20. The boat had to go to Fort Wilderness first, which added even more time. When we arrived we headed straight towards the castle to attempt to find a spot to see Celebrate the Season and a Frozen Holiday Wish. It was pretty much a mob scene and the first thing I noticed was the lack of wrist bands.
I don't understand why Disney doesn't completely close the park and empty it out, then let the party visitors in. I swear I am not exaggerating when I say about 75% of the people standing around us had no visible wristbands and I never saw any castmembers checking the crowd, only checking at the top of Main Street. To make things even worst people were shoving and being quite rude, it just felt too crowded and hostile to really enjoy the show. Not to mention almost every Dad had a child on his shoulders.
Which resulted in ZERO view for everyone else. What little we could see of the two shows were both GREAT, I really wish we could have seen more than just a tiny sliver of the stage.
Despite the negatives it was still an awesome night!!!!
Kids on the shoulders time!
