July Postcards Winners Check In Here!!

Hello all mail-in winners. I want to try mailing in postcards. We just returned from our 9 day trip this past Sunday, our trip was wonderful, however, no actual dream prizes for our family, lots of pixie dust and magical moment certicificate where we were escorted directly to the front of the line on Primevil Whirl, but no actual dreams.

So, I am going to send postcards, daily. So, is it just one a day I can send? Also, if I send 3.5 x 5 inch index cards, address to Disney on front and then my info on back? Thanks to all the winnners out there for your help!

DD10 got a pair of ears on Saturday. I've lost count of how many of ears and lanyards we've won.

- keeps fingers crossed for that DVC membership -

I don't know about the index card part, but you can send as many a day as you want! I just buy the post cards and send them...I've won some ears, but others have won several times.

According to the official rules, you can send in one post card per person each day.
Also, starting on September 18, 2006, eligible participants can enter without being present in a Disney Property by writing their full name, complete mailing address (including postal code), daytime telephone number (including area code), and date of birth on a 3.5"x5" postcard and sending it with proper postage affixed to: (i) if a legal resident of the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada or Mexico: P.O. Box 8629, Elmhurst, IL 60126; or (ii) if a legal resident of the United Kingdom: Disney Dream Giveaway, 483 Green Lanes, London N13 4BS. Participants may enter once per day during the Giveaway Period. All mail-in entries must be mailed separately, postmarked by December 31, 2007 and received by January 14, 2008 or they will be void.

I guess I misinterpreted that then, to mean that AT LEAST once a day (and more if you like!)...

Well, there's probably no one in Elmhurst sorting all the mail and saying "AHA! Grannyminnie sent in five cards again today! Toss 'em out!" ;) Wouldn't that be a lovely job?

I wonder if they scan the cards and sort them on a computer?

My mailman got me out of the shower today, literally... I had just turned off the water and I heard my doorbell.. I grabbed my robe and ran downstairs.. He was walking away.. He had an envelope for my hubby.. We are officially PostCard Winners!!! DH won a lanyard but dd2 claimed them as "hers" because she was a good girl.. It's her "mickey mouse clubhouse :rotfl2: "..

2 months to the day before we leave!!

Well, every few days I check these boards and see everyone who has won something and finally, today is my day!!! I received the pink slip in the mail and I can't pick it up until tomorrow. I will be there first thing in the morning. I have been sending postcards (2) every day since around April 1st.

We are going to WDW Sept 20-28, as if I weren't excited enough already-now this adds even more excitement! I don't care what it is...just knowing a little piece of Disney magic has made it to us is all that matters.

Best of luck to everyone out there-don't give up!
:yay:

We get there the day before and leave the day before.. I agree, it really sets the mood for the trip.. I didn't expcet to win anything and now they've been exceeded..:woohoo:

DW, DD and myself got the YOAMD lanyard sets this morning from the post office. Postcards do work!

My husband and I both won lanyards last week. 4 months of sending a few postcards every week and we finally won something!

Both DS's and DD won YOAMD ears-we had 4 already, so now we are up to 7! :rotfl: DH won the most recent prize...a lanyard. Figures, I am the one that writes out all the post cards and sends them in and everyone in the house has won something except me!

So I'm thinking that they only mail out winners once a month. Is this pretty much how it's going? Pull out names one month and two months later the winners receive the item? We've already won 2 lanyards and a pair of ears, however, my daughters are fighting over the ears. Imagine a 23 year old and a 31 year old, fighting over ears!! TOO BAD! They're MINE! All MINE! Hee hee! :lmao: :rotfl:

It sure sounds that way. I just looked at the box that DH's lanyard came in and it was postmarked July 3rd. We got it on July 5th.

We finally won!!! We started sending out the postcards in February (or March, I really can't remember, lol), quite faithfully and after 130+ postcards (and God knows how much $$$ in postage) and no prizes we gave up at the end of May. I didn't think we would win anything, but today my mom had to go sign for something at the post office and it was a landyard and pins set!!   You would have thought I won the lottery! Hmm, maybe I should start sending them in again....:p

Ok, just went to lunch with DH and all I could talk about was this! "HOW in the WORLD did I NOT know I could send in a postcard! I've been depressed that I couldn't get down there and I could have sent a postcard?" SO, for you winners, do you hand write them? Can I do the address on the computer and hand write the personal info? I know they want you to hand-write some of it so people don't mass produce them, but do you think it would be ok to do the address with a computer?
The rule says, "Also, starting on September 18, 2006, eligible participants can enter without being present in a Disney Property by writing their full name, complete mailing address (including postal code), daytime telephone number (including area code), and date of birth on a 3.5"x5" postcard and sending it with proper postage affixed to: (i) if a legal resident of the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada or Mexico: P.O. So, winners, did you do a 3.5" x 5" card everytime?
