The Orleans (x4) pros, 18 screen movie theater, bowling alley in hotel, best Mexican food in town, spacey rooms (mini suites with sofas and nice large bathrooms); cons, off strip (although, I drive and park in free valet, so I don't need the strip), smokey....the casino area is not well ventilated, not a huge variety of slots (but I don't play much, I watch the cheap movies).
Mirage (x1) loved everything about it, the pool, the dolphins, the tigers, the rooms, the food....very convient to other strip hotels.
Treasure Island (x1) uncomfortable beds, and not as happy with it, though I loved the old pirate theme....reminded me of a certain ride
Bally's (x2) hated this place, both times, the rooms in the upper part of one of the towers creaks when the wind blows hard, kept me up all night, the second time we stayed in another tower, no creaking, but not much to write home about.
Paris (x1) love the beautiful rooms and atmosphere, but a bit pricey
My brother and his fiancee loved the Venetian, and my mom also likes the Stratosphere, but I've not stayed at either.
MGM is fun for families (pool, restaurants, etc.), so is the Mirage (pool, tigers, dolphins, big fish tank in check in, lobby atrium) and Luxor (Imax, motion sim rides), (of course there's the Excalibur which doesn't impress me, but does others).
