Just catching up on things.. I love the cute buys you have gotten so far!! The blue looks like its going to work great!! Only a few more weeks til you get to book! I'm sorry to hear about your nose what a cute pic of your dog though!! Can't wait to hear more about your plans!!

Meg, not sure who is cuter? Your niece or your furbaby! ;) Really, though your niece is so beautiful and your dog looks so sweet and gentle. Sorry about your nose. I hope Rob's appointments go well and that he is back to 100% very soon.

Everything you've bought so far is wonderful! LOVE the pillowcases! The details you like from each of those cakes could come together beautifully in a custom design. The color combination of the blue and yellow is gorgeous. How long do you have to wait for your gown to ship?

I know - we have cuteness issues at my house. I think the baby wins... but Boo is a close second! lol... thanks for the kind words about Rob. To answer your question the gown shipped! It should be here within the next week. :goodvibes

My nose was really swollen for the week, but it seems to be back to normal now. I guess I didn't break it, but wowie - it sure felt like it! Thanks for the concern! :)

I didn't see this before I left! I totally would have loved to meet you for coffee and chat - I had more time waiting around Mass General than anything! I'll PM you next time I head down to Worcester and we'll definitely plan to meet! :)

Thank you so much for the idea. :goodvibes I also found my name (spelled correctly, I might add!) in Disney letters on the boards. I had no idea about the Dis-igners on here! They rock!

I need to get the square pin at the top and the cake cutting one...I have not seen them in Disney..I have the other 3.Are you obsessed with the pins too LOL?

I used to be completely obcessed with pins. I went on this incredible 20th birthday trip with my ex back in 2001. We stayed in Contemporary facing MK and for some reason, I don't know if it was Pixie Dust or what, people kept giving me Disney pins at the stores in the concourse. I came home with literally 50 pins! Unfortunately that relationship didn't last, so like an idiot I sold the pins when I broke up with him. I had a ton by then. Grrr dumb Meg!! So now I'm just slowly getting back into it. I got a Disney Fairy Tale weddings one that I'll post over the weekend. I'm being inspired by Tim after reading your TR. I'm going to collect Stitch pins. :)

the lanyard + wedding pins is such a good idea! I've been looking for something to get people who are important but not part of the official wedding party (aunts and uncles, etc.). That will be perfect!

Awesome! Glad I could help! Make sure to make yourself a lanyard as well! :)

Hey all,

Thanks for all the warm wishes for Rob and I as we went down to Mass General. I have really good news - he's going to be fine! The reason why we had to go screaming down to MA is that when Rob was born he came out without part of his esophagus. It was repaired, but every so often something gets out of wak and they have to check it out. The medical care up here in Northern Maine is minimal at best. So we have to go down to MA for specialist care. He was sick for three weeks with a really bad virus that just sapped him of all energy - he didn't even have enough energy to let the dogs out. He's probably about 85% better now. He went back to work today and that went well, so hopefully this is all in the past.

I tried to come home on Saturday, but there was this crazy wet rainy Nor'Easter that made driving dangerous. So we stayed down in Scarborough Maine (right outside of Portland) and I was able to get some more shopping done for the wedding. Rob and I actually had a date night - we went out to eat at On the Border and then off to Borders to go bookshopping. To us, that's a big deal now that we live 3 hours away from any of these places. I didn't want to tire him out or anything, but it was fun.

So I'm back up here in Northern Maine. We're already past peak for foliage - yuck! I'm back to school and work tomorrow, so I'll update more over the weekend with pictures of shopping, crafting and my usual general insanity.

I just really wanted to thank you all for the kind words about Rob. Disbrides rock!!

Peace :hippie: Love  and GO PATRIOTS! :cheer2:

PS - I posted for the first time on YouTube. If you want to see some quality snow shovel sledding by Rob and narrated by me, check it out! You'll see the ridiculous amounts of snow we had last year. The video was taken on April 2nd. Make sure to watch part two as well.. it's all good for a laugh!!

NONONONO!! EEk!! I don't even want to think about us having snow... lol this was April 2nd, 2008. We had 200 inches of snow last year. Let me show you what I dealt with last year.

This was the view from my backdoor.

This was the view from my front door - I'm 5'5" and took this picture not standing on a step or anything.
CIMG0441.jpg

My poor car - buried!
CIMG0453.jpg

This is the backyard - the pole you see is a snow gauge - it's 3 ft off the ground if that tells you anything about the snow around it. Rob had to keep digging a path to it!
CIMG0457.jpg

Now this one is actually kinda cool. Rob's parents place is on a hill. The winds that go through there are wild. Their old car got completely buried.
CIMG0468.jpg

See why I hate snow? :lmao: lol!! Also - this ties into why I'm having a Disney Wedding. I don't want my wedding to have any chance of this white frosty stuff!! :)

Totally.... I would love to meet up and hang out. :goodvibes

YAY for Rob feeling better!

Meg -- I am so glad Rob is doing better. Your date night sounds perfect to me! Good company, good food & good books! What more could a person want? :goodvibes

I got my Rehearsal Dinner dress today!! I had to change into it immediately and have Rob take a picture of it. The bust needs to be brought in - it's huge! I'm all icky and bloated with PMS, so I don't look too swell, but you get the idea. I'm going to get something to go over the arms.

Love all your plans so far and that dress is just great. Where did you get it?

Also love all that snow.

Hi Meg

Just caught up with your PJ....loving all of your ideas. I may have to get a countdown clock as I have checked and they do send internationally yayyy!!

Also, just watched your vids on Utube....so so funny!! I looked at all of the snow and I would love to run and dive in it head first, I love the snow!!! :woohoo: We don't get snow like that over here in the UK....we get the sort that is white for about 1 hour...then turns to grey slush yukk!!

Looking forward to seeing the rest of your plans taking shape.

Jo

Meg -- Your dress is really pretty! I am still struggling with the dessert party dress search, so I am a bit envious that you have that wrapped up. :woohoo:

Thank you all for the kind words!:goodvibes It was completely random finding this one. I am an Ebay junkie and some one posted this dress, new and I really liked it. It's from David's Bridal and is a Bridesmaids dress, but when I saw it online I saw how I could dress it down. I got it for about 70 something and it retails for 135. It fits perfectly, just need to get the bust taken in, but I'm going to wait to do that - hoping the diet works so I can get the sides taken in at the same time!

Here's the link to the dress on someone who isn't a former hockey player...

And about the snow - I heard that there may be flurries this weekend - ugghhh... :sad2: I'll post pictures if it does for you snow lovers. I used to love the snow and then that happened! (that being 200 inches of snow).;)

Thank you for the compliment! I'm really trying to be organized - I spent last night taking inventory of the gamut of wedding stuff I have. Wait until you see that insane list! lol.. I'll definitely be checking out your PJ! :)

Hey Jo - definitely would recommend the clock! I keep it right here on my desk. The best part is that you can reuse it with the different faceplates! If I remember where I put them next year.. lol.

I used to like the snow - honestly! I'm just still burnt out from last winter. It was insane! And the worst part was I would have to drive 25 miles into work even if we had 18 inches of snow fall over night. I will admit I like playing with my dogs in the snow. My Black Lab Rory just dives into it and comes out looking like the abominable snow dog! But anyways.. I'm glad you liked the video!! :goodvibes

Cam, I wish I had a clue about what I was going to do with my hair - you've got that all figured out and I'm very envious of that lol! BTW you looked beautiful :bride: at your trial - not sure if I posted that in your PJ

Hi Meg! It's always such fun catching up on your PJ, you are so creative, and I'm amazed at the bargains you find!! :cool1:

I love your rehersal dinner dress, it's so pretty! I have to limit myself on Ebay, or i'll go completely nuts! :sad2:

I don't know how I've missed your PJ until now! :confused3 I just finished catching up with everything you have done! It all looks so wonderful! I really like the yellow/navy colors! You're invites are gorgeous! Are you keeping those navy? I really like cakes 2 and 3 and i LOVE your rehearsal dinner dress! I can't wait to read more! :goodvibes

So I work 30 something hours a week (Music Director at a Radio Station and Secretary for the Dean of Students at UMaine), go to school full time and am now planning this wedding. Oh yeah I also have two dogs, two cats and fish. Free time? What's that?:lmao:

Well it's something I'm going to have less of. We're moving! December 1st, we move to the next town over, Caribou, Maine. We currently live in a townhouse in Limestone Maine. We're moving into a 4 bedroom house. This is a good thing, but a mixed blessing. We're moving when it's cold of course - why move when it's warm? :rotfl: That would make sense!

So there will be more insanity in my life. For example - this weekend Rob and I are cleaning the house because my parents are coming up here for a few days. I'm looking forward to October 12, 2009 - much more fun than this year's October 12th. Oh yeah, and I've got a lot of laundry to do. :laundy: (I've always wanted to use that smilie!)

Henceforth there will be no "real" update this week. I'll post as soon as I hear if I have the date. I'm going to be putting my deposit in for the Roots as soon as my Dad's up here, really excited about that. I fell in :lovestruc with their photography when I saw Carrie's (Mrs. Lurkyloo) wedding pictures.

That's all for now. Update later!

Peace :hippie: Love:lovestruc and GO PATRIOTS AND REDSOX! :cheer2:

Love, ME!
