Monorail or Bus from EPCOT main entrance to Magic Kingdom

Hi DIsney Experts !

We will be at EPCOT prior to attending the Not so scary Halloween Party at Magic kingdom. Which is the best transport option from EPCOT to Magic Kingdom, Monorail to TTC or Bus from EPCOT to Magic Kingdom ? What is the approximate travel times of each option ? Is there always a direct bus option ?

Monorail is the only option. Epcot to MK buses would run only if the monorail is down. The monorail ride is about 10-15 minutes, IIRC, but the wait time might be equally as long. I would plan at least an hour or longer from walking out of Epcot to walking into the MK, especially since you have to take ferry or monorail from TTC to MK, and there will probably be a lot of guests doing the same thing you are.

If you absolutely want a bus, you could exit Epcot via the IG and walk to the Beach Club Resort bus stop.

The monorail will only run to TTC. From TTC you take the bus that has "Epcot Monorail" on the marquee from load zone 19. This is if you will need to return to Epcot. For instance if you park your vehicle there.

If you take the Epcot monorail you exit at the TTC and then board a different monorail that goes to MK. As someone else mentioned, buses only run from Epcot if the monorail happens to be down.

Now the Park Hopping at any time is back, is Monorail still the only way from Magic Kingdom to Epcot... or have they added buses, too?

No direct bus. If someone doesn’t want monorail for whatever reason, you can go the long way - bus to an Epcot resort (BW, Yacht, or Beach) or to DHS and walk to the IG entrance.
