Meh. Those are just words of the day.
They are often used by boomers to insult younger generations.
I don’t read it that way at all.

Tattos, haircuts and animatronics aren’t political or woke.

His expectations of social norms is more what I would say he was expressing than any political viewpoint.

Eh, we didn’t read it the same way. No biggie. All in the perspective of the reader. (FWIW, I’m Gen X.)

The best part is that we both agree that this guy is a boob.

I know that certain rides like small world and Peter pan will probably never change and that's OK, but to keep a ride that is tied to an I.P. that hasn't been seen by anyone under 35 is pointless.
The former has changed tons over the years from the original ride at the 1964 Worlds Fair.

I will say they had a very good recreation of the original entrance to IASM in Tomorrowland.

I feel like publications post this because they know it'll generate clicks/engagement which equals ad revenue. Heck if there wasn't a photo of the guy I'd have believed this "letter" was made up by the paper just so they could get people talking. Either way props to the Orlando Sentinel because this was trending all day on social media and it did exactly what I bet the editors wanted it to do: get people talking and linking to their website for such an absurd piece.

[QUOTE="JimMIA,
So for me, as that great American philosopher Sweet Brown famously said, "Ain't nobody got time for that!"

One of my favorite quotes of all time!

What a maroon.
Plenty of studies including a recent one from Stanford that tell us masks do not work and are actually making things worse. Of course it’s not getting picked up by anyone. I’m sure you are intelligent enough to know why that is.

As for why Disney being publicly traded would do this, good question. Guess we will see what the long term goal is. I have some ideas, look up Chinas social credit system.

Walt would not have allowed this that much is certain. Mixing politics and theme parks is a disgrace.

I’m going to make the unpopular statement here and say I agree 100 percent with this guy.

Cast members being able to display their “wokeness” will be a huge turn off.

That and messing with Splash Mountain, my youngest daughter’s favorite ride, in the name of liberal wokeness is completely against everything Walt stood for.

Oh and get rid of the dumb mask mandates. That alone makes the parks unbearable. I suppose some prefer the masks because they have been scarred for life by covid fear porn, or they are just ugly and enjoy hiding themselves. Either way, I’m sick of it and so are most normal people out there. Nobody wants to wear a mask in the middle of summer in Orlando. Yet again, the woke crowd will cling to that also.
No one WANTS to wear a mask in Orlando in the summer. Nobody wanted a pandemic to happen! But it did! And here we are.

It’s almost over! Hang on, we’re close. You’ll be able to ride Princess and the Frog - Tiana’s Wild Adventure at Splash Mountain™ without the bayou getting all over your bald Eagle mask soon.
