Reporting in ... getting off my butt this week means I have finally moved from 0% to 12.5% - not great but I am happy with this start.
I have a tiny movement, too!! I am up to an amazing 7%!!!!
I also did something healthy today: My town has the event every year where they offer all kind of guided tour all over the city. It goes from Friday to Sunday and all in all I think they have 400 different tours, many of which take place several times over the weekend. You pay a flat fee of 9€ to go to as many as you want. I did a few of them with a friend and the one today that we really wanted to do was a bit outside of the city, so I biked there!! I asked my friend to take a picture of me on the bike (instead of me taking a picture of my bike), so here it is:
I am even wearing a Disney t-shirt (
Disney Cruise Line).
Eating was perfect on Friday and I was very active. Yesterday was a difficult day though. I did not get out of bed and then I was invited to a party that started at 3pm and I knew it would go until late in the evening. To be honest, I really was not too keen on the party anyway and I really did not see the point in starting in the afternoon. The reason for that was mainly so that everyone's kids could play together. Not having any kids, this really has no appeal to me. Anyway, so suddenly I realized that I would be stationary all the time during that party. So, after I did my shopping and had had lunch I only had another two hours. My house looked like total chaos, but I decided moving was more important, so I headed out to get my 10000 steps done for the day. Got back in time to get ready for the party and indeed ended up adding only about 1000 steps for the rest of the day. So, I congratulated me on my healthy decision!
Today should be a good day, too! Already have been out in the sun biking and also walking during the tours. Had a healthy lunch of oven baked veggies. Now I need to get into town to pick up my race pack (and my sister's and my BIL's) for my race next Monday (public holiday in Germany). So, that is healthy related activity, too!
I wanted to say thanks to
@HappyGrape and
@Dr Gunnie for sharing their calories. I have decided that one of my problems is really not allocating enough calories for my afternoon snack. I think I will just have to make sure that I have something substantial then. Even if that means that I either need to eat smaller dinners (not sure that will work...) or just resign to the fact that I need to eat more to be happier. My current habits don't make me happy, so I need to change them!
I did it on Friday. Had some oats and a dairy product (it is called Swedish milk by the German company, in Sweden it is known as filmjölk and is a fermented milk product, similar to maybe kefir). Then went out for a run (4.5 km, felt great!) and afterwards did not feel famished and had a small meal of pasta with veggies. Perfect!! So, in order to prepare for bringing better snacks for work, I bought a bunch of eggs to hard boil and I think I will alternate between oats and some kind of dairy one day and the other day egg, a piece of cheese and some carrots.
I also found a new way of meal planning: I am going to use the calendar in my iPhone! I use that for my business and private dates anyway already. I just opened up a new calendar in a new color and put in what I am planning to eat every evening. The good thing is that this will enable me to do meal planning on the fly and I can also always see what I am having for dinner and what I might need to buy on the way home for it. I should have thought about this earlier, but am very positive that this will turn out a helpful tool!
So, now I need to run and enjoy the beautiful sunshine!!
