Got the magicbands decorated!! Added a watchface and a grumpy to mine, Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck with lots of sparkle for DD2, Minions and sparkle for DD6 (I know minions aren't Disney but it is what she requested), and a Tigger theme for DH cause he loves Tigger. For the dark rides like Peter Pan and Haunted Mansion our bands glow in the dark.

The girls bands look a lot better in person, sparkle is really hard to photograph lol! 22 days left.......

Christmas all the way at MK today. Tree. Music. Trolley show. HoHoHo!!!

First post......Arrival at the Fort. Needless to say I was a little concerned about check in today with some of the reports that came in during the Halloween season. Most believed that the onslaught was a reflection of Halloween and Trick or Treat. I am happy to say that you were correct.

If you read my early post about receiving magic bands in the mail, then you know that seeing this puts a big smile on your face also.......

Then you are greeted with this.........

The smile gets bigger........
And then you see this.........

And you know that all is right with the World!! (pun intended).
We were assigned site 403. Have to say, probably best site in 5 visits.

Great day to check into the Fort!!

Second post........The Parks.
After getting the campsite set up, the DW and I had a late lunch / early dinner. Fresh shrimp from our short stay at Sebastian Inlet, rice and salad.

Tiggerdad did a great job of posting pics of the lesser seen side of the Fort. (Thanks Tiggerdad!!) For my trip, as much as possible, I will post pics of the parks.

After eating, we wanted to visit EPCOT to do our first of three checkins (not sure that's a word). Being a passholder, if we visit the Food and Wine Festival 3 days, we will both receive a commemorative Food and Wine Festival wine glass.

After checking in, we took a stroll around Future World and then headed over to MK for a couple of Fast Pass rides. The Mine Train is cool at night!!
As Goofy14sure said, Christmas decorations are in full force in the MK. Here are a couple of pics walking in and down Main Street.

Can anybody there now give a report on the hub construction? I'm specifically wondering if the castle ramps are done yet and if you are able to walk into the castle......

The hub construction looks finished. But we couldn't find a way to walk through the front of the castle around the stage there were some closed off areas but looked more like closed for stage rather than construction

The last few days we have been knocking around the Fort and the Magic Kingdom. Christmas has kicked off with the decorations going up, The MK tree was not up Tuesday but was there Wednesday AM. I love the way Disney changes Decorations, but I remember Christmas starting later... Here is one of the Fort horses heading out to the Trolley Christmas Show on Main Street



I've been traveling around on the Fort on my little blue scooter because the weather seems to have cooled down a bit, its been nice Went by the dog park and checked out the pool and the bike barn, The fishing looks better around there than in the 1600 loop canal, i'm gonna try it tomorrow! Saw some serious tree trimming over near the 300 loop




Toured around the beach (got stuck in the sand!) and check out old River County, I still am amazed at the way they just cut off what they wanted to keep and let the rest go, but I guess demo would have cost a good bit.



Checked out the Ranch, this guy sure did want some petting, but there was a sign, and rules are rules!




Also did some looping, Saw your setup Jets70, it's very nice! No one was out and about tho, but maybe our paths will cross! Mack had his Halloween decorations down



I also looked at some must haves at the trading post, socks, boxers and Camp Chairs!!



Ohhhhh and look what followed me home!



We are going to the late Hoop De Doo tonight --- We've been coming down to Disney World since 83, and this is our first time to the Hoop De Doo!!! Old Dog New Trick??

Had some great days and got to do the campfire sing a long, and watched Wreck it Ralph last night. Hopefully we will be back in a year, so 365 days and counting!

Thanks Squrl. Sometimes you get lucky and get a good one. Hate it that it's time for you to go. I was watching the fireworks from the beach this evening and overheard a conversation between a dad and his 2 girls that went something like this......."well girls enjoy the fireworks this evening because tomorrow we go home." The response from one of the girls was "do we have to?" I had to laugh. I tried that one with a sad face with my DW. Didn't work for me either. It is amazing how fast time truly goes by when you are having a truly great time. Safe travels home!!

Well.....the DW and I have had a busy, chaotic, fun filled couple of days. It's getting late but I wanted to post a few pictures and just a little text.
Thursday we went to Animal Kingdom......

we rode Kilamanjaro Safaris.......

We rode this at about 10:30 and were surprised and just how few animals we're actually out and moving about.
Next was Expedition Everest. .....

We then rode Dinosaur.....

After being briefed by Claire Huxtable.....I mean Dr. Marsh, we made our way to the ride queue.
Do you know what those chemical equations are for???? The color of the pipes are a good hint.

Next was Kali River Rapids. This is usually our last ride of the day as we always get soaked and look forward to getting back to camp and into dry clothes.......

Yep......we did get wet.....soaked.....drenched.....

We went to the Orlando Ale House for dinner......Zinger buffalo strips for starters with cajun chicken pasta for me and prime rib for the DW. Really good!!!!

Time to call it a day.....

A report for Friday.....
I want to start off by saying that I really enjoyed my visit with Flametamr and his family. You have a great story to tell about how Disney has come into your life and it's effect on your family. I am sure our paths will cross again. All the best in your retirement.
We started off the day around 11:00 with a quick trip to Epcot. We were able to to do our third check in for the Food and Wine Festival and pick up our commemorative wine glasses. They were very nice. We also had a quick look at some of the kiosks and stopped to try a braised yard bird with greens and habanero sauce along with some loaded Mac and cheese. The habanero sauce is in the middle along with our wine glasses.

After a little more looking around.......we made our way back to the MK.

We rode Big Thunder Mountain......

Next was the Haunted Mansion......

We were then off to Space Mountain....

A trip over to see Buzz lightyear and Zurg....

No laughing at my score. The DW was spinning the car so I couldn't aim!!
We also rode the Mine Train with a fast pass so I don't have any pics of the ride queue.

We headed back to the Fort to watch fireworks from the beach.

A really good couple of days!!
One of the things that my family likes to do on our visits to WDW to include those still at home is to play a little game we refer to as "Where in the World" and send them a pic to see if they can guess where or what it is. I sent one today that had them stumped for quite a while. This is it if you would like to give it a shot.......

Google wouldn't do you any good. It is actually a Diamond Cargo enclosed car hauler that I converted into a toy hauler. Long story short......looked at factory rigs and could not find one that met all our needs so I built this one. Needed to haul 4 kayaks or 3 motorcycles or a golf cart and a motorcycle which I did on this trip.
Looking towards the front kitchen, bathroom and the fireplace.......the DW really wanted me to put one in. The wood surrounding the fireplace is 100 year old barnwood that came from a barn on her family's farm.

Towards the back. The rear door let's down to a ramp. The couch pulls out to make a twin size bed.
