Oh man. Ok. I guess I don't realize how big it is. I know we won't get to everything. Sounds like I'll need to do a lot of planning before hand.
In the summers, we typically do 16-17 day trips, and we're far from bored.
This is a good point. A good target trip length does vary based on how often you plan to go. Or how many times you've been. Our first trip was 7 days and we hit the parks hard RD-close every day and still didn't get to do everything we had on our list. We usually do a 5 day trip in the fall (and occasionally spring) and a 7 day trip in January. The 5 day trips really don't allow us to do everything that we would want, but it's ok because we go so often that these are usually targeted towards a specific activity, or type of trip. The 7 day trip is really perfect for us now as there are a lot of things that we no longer try to cram in. I personally wouldn't prefer a 10+ day trip, but that's just my vacation style in general, I prefer more frequent shorter trips, as opposed to longer ones.
Our Disneymoon was 17 days as well and it was amazing !My honeymoon was 3 universal days and 17 Disney days and I still missed stuff. Build in down days and don't go open to close every day and you can really enjoy your week.
I keep hearing that 6-7 days at Disney is just too long. We'll be bored, tired and won't enjoy it.
How many days is too many for you and your family?
*This is our first time ever!

If it's your first (and maybe only) trip you do not want much less than 7 days, if at all possible. 1 or 2 More would be even better. I honestly think 10 days is perfect for a first and only trip, in a perfect world
If it's your first trip and you intend to go back, you can reduce the days and know you'll get to things later.
Just don't peshaw how tired you get, no matter how young or how good a shape you are in
