I hydroplaned & took out a street sign and almost someones front porch. I got a ticket too. I wasn't happy either. That was a few years ago. I feel your pain.
Keep an eye on your neck. Use cold and warm compresses off & on to ease the strain. Trust me, I was rearended & I thought I just had whipflash. Turned out I had major muscle strain in my neck and shoulder.
Had to have physical therapy for a few months and I've issues ever since. It's one of the causes of my migraines. Glad the other guy was ok too. Freaking rain sucks.
Love your dress, the flutes...everything!
I'm doing better today. Just having an issue with my ankle locking up (which has nothing to do with the accident). But yeah, the most important thing is that I'm okay and so was he.
Thank you! I'm so excited to see pics from your wedding on MONDAY!
So I was gonna quote your message, but the first part just looked like this
I love this!
I love this!
I love this too!
Seriously, everything looks AMAZING. I really want a pair of purple converse now. I've been getting back into the whole "sundress with keds" look recently. Which apparently made one of my kids from youth group mad, haha, because on Easter her mom told her she couldn't wear sneakers with a dress, and then I showed up. I told her when she paid for every part of her outfit and lived on her own she could wear whatever she wanted too.
And I LOVE the dress for your engagement photos! It's so pretty!
Obviously I love anything related to Beauty and the Beast. But I already tried the rose under the glass, and Joe veto-ed. Stupid groom not wanting a Disney wedding. Hmph.
Glad to hear you're okay! And that you didn't panic when you started to hydroplane and could make a conscious thought about what to do. It definitely stinks they gave you a ticket. Cops are, to use my word, poopieheads sometimes.
You can get purple Converse from their site without customizing them completely, but yeah I like mine I've always liked wearing skirts and dresses with Converse. It suits me, I think. And that's too funny about the other girl, lol. My parents never really told us anything like that, but I think that's just because we had strange fashion ideas to begin with.
I really love that dress! I saw it and liked it, but didn't have the money for it until I got my tax return. Turned out that I bought the last one in my size they had in the store at that time.
That's sad that he keeps vetoing all the Disney touches I'm very glad Matt loves Disney as much as I do.
I'm just so happy that neither of us were hurt. I'm obviously not thrilled about the ticket, but it could be worse. It's not an outrageous fine and we're doing better than we were a few months ago, financially. So we'll just deal with it.
I'm glad you're ok!! Can you fight the ticket? At least in MA acts of nature is a perfectly acceptable excuse, at least as far as insurance is concerned (but our state is weird in that traffic tickets are tied to insurance premiums....not sure how FL is).
Now onto the fun stuff....I love everything you've picked out so far!! The shoes are simply perfect. That dress for your e-pics is sooooooooo cute, and what a better way to spend your birthday right? Poly would be great for pics, since you could always duck inside if it got too hot.
I think I can, but the court costs to do so would triple the cost of the ticket. And if I lost, I'd still have to pay the ticket. So I'm just going to do the traffic school thing so I don't get points on my license and then pay the ticket.
I love my shoes so much! And yes, I'm excited to do our pictures on my birthday Every time I ask DF where he wants to take pictures, he keeps saying he doesn't know. And it's like "Honey, we have to decide eventually." We're spending my birthday at MK anyway, so if Emily can do our pictures there, we will. We've got breakfast reservations at Crystal Palace before park open and then dinner at BOG.
I'm glad you're okay! I got in an accident recently and found out that in a two-car crash, Florida law is that they have to issue at least one of the people a ticket. In my case, the other car really was at fault. But that's probably why they issued you the ticket, since you were technically the crash-er.
Love your shoes and champagne flutes! Everything is really coming along!
I figured it was something like that, to be honest. That's why I'm not that bothered by it. We're just going to pay it and I'll do the traffic school thing and be done with it.
Thank you! I really like the flutes in particular. I've wanted them ever since I first found them and a wedding was just a hypothetical thing.
Yay shoes! And the card box is awesome. Zack thought so too! I love the base of your cloche! Mine's not so pretty - I was debating a stand for it.
I LOVE YOUR DRESS.
At least you're ok, and the other driver. Property can always be fixed or replaced! But what a bummer
That seems like a silly law to me - maybe instead of issuing silly tickets to people who can't control what happened, they should spend their time looking for people who are actually driving recklessly in bad conditions No matter how careful you are, there's always a chance... but those people are tempting fate!
I got mine from Save-On Crafts! It was only $18, and I got an aisle runner from them, too! I can link you if you like. I wasn't sure about having a tall base like that at first and then I found that one and was like "Yep, that's it."
I love my dress, too! I've been having such good luck in the last couple of years with finding dresses I like in my size!
I agree on the ticket, but like I said before, we're not going to bother fighting it. It'll be okay. I'm just very glad that the other driver and I are both all right.
