So what does the Zicam do??? Is it really that awesome?
The Zicam spray works GREAT. Tastes HORRIBLE, but works GREAT. Comes in a small spray bottle. You spray 4 or 5 shots into the back of your mouth, and – for me at least – the cough is immediately gone. It’s supposed to work for 8 hours.

I think the melt-in-your-mouth tablets are supposed to work pretty much the same way, but in different form.

And yes - for me at least - it really is that awesome!

Edit: the Zicam is kind of expensive though. If I remember right, the Zicam tablets cost about $6 for 10 tablets.

Good morning, everyone!!! Yes, it is Monday again!!!:crazy2: I need the weekend to be 3 days long! How about a little healthy start to our work weeks....we can start on the sugar tomorrow.;)

I hope everyone has a Magical Monday!! pixiedust:

Thanks Donna...the healthy breakfast was much needed.::yes::

YM: yes it is definitely time for spring. I'd put a flower smilie here but I'm too tired to search for the right one (since you know I've been so busy moving them all around). ;)

So lyzziesmom is the one messing with the smilie list.:joker:

Good Morning ALL!!!

It's Monday...cue the sad music ;)

Have a great day, Lilly comes home today!!

Michele...yeah, Lilly will be home today. I bet she grew some last night.princess:

Good Morning Everyone!!!

Ashley, if you are staying onsite, you can make ADR's at 180+10. So, you would call the 180 from the day of your arrival and can make ADR's for up to 10 days. Keep in mind they only open up a limited amount of seatings and the +10 days. So, if you don't get a seating, call back. If you are staying offsite, then you have to call back each day. The toll free number is 800-828-0228, option 3 for dining.

I didn't do too much this weekend. I am going to (hopefully) start working from home as part time work. So, I spent most of the weekend training.

I really need a vacation. My mother is driving me crazy. I don't know how I am going to spend a week with her. It's not just one thing she is doing, but a combination of things. She knows it upsets me, but doesn't stop. At this point, I am ready to cut off contact with her. I have tried to talk to her, but if you say anything she doesn't like, she hangs up the phone. It makes me sad, because we didn't have the best relationship while I was growing up. After I moved out, it got a lot better, but now it's going down hill. :sad1: I really wanted to share WDW with her, because she seemed excited to go and I think she will like it. However, I just don't think it's a good idea. I'd still like to take my brother (as originally planned) but then I would feel bad if she didn't get to go. She causes issues with Mike and myself, and it isn't right. I just don't know what to do.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Amber thanks for the dining info...I think you've got this Disney stuff down! So sorry about the situation with your mom. :goodvibes

Thank you.

Thank you.

Yesterday (Sunday), it was cool, but not too bad. I think it got up into the upper 50’s. Today, it is supposed to get close to 70.

We were 21 in the am and in the 60's by the pm. It does make it a little hard on the sniffles when the temp goes up and down nearly 50 degrees...but I'm thankful for the warm up.

YM- Yes it is definitely time for spring! It has been in the low 70's last week and today it is cold! I was wearing short sleeves last week and today am wearing a sweater!

Change the smilies back! I hardly use any of these!

Talk to lyzziesmom about the smilies.;) Yep...I've got the sweater set on too. I'll be shedding it later today.

Thanks for all the compliments on Courtney. I still don’t know how I could be a part of producing such a beautiful child. Her dress is new, and this was the first time she wore it. She is such a tomboy in a way………she loves playing baseball and any other sports the boys play, and she will rough-house with the best of them. But she still loves to put on dresses and LOVES pretty shoes.
I still am mad at myself for not fixing the settings on my camera before taking the pictures. She actually had some pretty good poses, but dear old dad just messed it all up!!

That's how I liked it when I was little. My parents didn't let me get very frilly....darn. The dress was very pretty! Oh...Pozey, remember, she looks a little like you.;)

It was a wee bit cold on Saturday, but yesterday was beautiful! And today...? If I were one of those people who called in sick but really wasn't sick - I'd have called in today. But, here I sit in my windowless office....
Thanks for the healthy wishes- we really appreciate it!! Picked up some Claritin D yesterday - she's got this sniffle and nagging cough that she just can't get rid of - she's not sick, but this has gotta go!!
I didn't see the eclipse - we were out with another couple at dinner!

Erin and I had hair appointments on Saturday - she is now a redhead - but it's a really deep auburn red - and looks beautiful on her with her complexion.
Later, all! :wave2:

DznyFan...yes the weather is keeping us all in sniffles. Plus, if she has any tree allergies they are in the high catagory right now. Her hair sounds beautiful! Hopefully the claritin will help....or hey that zicam sounds good...although I've never tried it.

If things are still the same as they were when I was in school (what are the chances of that?) then next year in 3rd grade will be the year when I can have her evaluated for the gifted program. I believe that's when I was tested and began participating. I know Lyzzie would love it, she gets bored at school often and feels like a lot of the work is beneath her. It doesn't help that because of when her birthday falls, she is one of the oldest kids in her grade - don't even get me started on that. The kid was ready for kindergarten 2 years before she was able to start.

They test kids for the gifted program at the end of second grade here. They start participating in the third grade.

Well, that only gets me partially caught up on this busy Monday morning!:wave2:

Broken Arrow has something called Kaleidoscope – that is their version of gifted classes in elementary school. Chase will have the opportunity to take the test to see if he can join Kaleidoscope, but to be honest, I don’t think he would be interested. He and Colton are very different when it comes to school – Colton LOVES school……..Chase not so much.

Colton will be going into Middle School next year. His middle school is having a kind of “meet and greet” tonight. To introduce parents and students to the new school. They are going to give out some information regarding Pre-Advanced Placement classes tonight. Colton is very much interested in this.

Yeah, Chase has weekly spelling lists as well. His teacher will have a certain “theme” to the list. One list had words like moon, astronaut, lunar, spaceship, capsule – so the theme was outer space.

Lyzzie's spelling lists apparently have some sort of theme, but I can never figure them out. I think they are often mixed themes based on the structure of the word. For instance, her list for this week is:
people, strawberries, families, cherries, dictionaries, countries, oxen, firemen, children, butterflies, women, libraries
I'm thinking it's -ies words and -en words, but I'm not sure where "people" fits in. :confused3

Oh, I remember Kaliedoscope!!! It changes to Forum in MS. Is he going to HMS or CMS? If HMS hope he gets Mrs. Opper for science -she's a friend of mine.
If nothing changes, he will actually go to Sequoyah. “Why?” You ask? You know about where I live, and Sequoyah makes no sense, right?

Well, it’s basically because we do not live in BA school district. We are on the opposite side of the intersection where the school boundaries switch from BA to Coweta. But way back when Colton began kindergarten, we transferred into BA schools. Well, since Colton went to a certain preschool in BA that took the kids to and from school, he went to an elementary school closest to the preschool.

And since he has been at that elementary school, I guess they are going to send him to the same middle and intermediate schools that follow the same path.

I guess I could ask for him to try to be placed in a certain middle school, but he already has a certain group of friends that will go to the same middle school.

Good afternoon, Cliqueless Clique. :flower3:

I'm home on my lunch hour, and I must say that leftover Pizza Hut stuffed crust pizza makes a fine meal. ::yes::

Sucks that it's Monday again, but I had a pretty good weekend. I met up with some DISers for lunch on Saturday and had a great time.

How is everyone doing?

Hey Bonnie...lunch...that sounds good! We don't have any leftover pizza. Glad you enjoyed lunch with the DISers...they can be nice and fun.;)

Good news! My trashcan has returned safely home. It was found wandering the neighbor's yard without permission and will be disciplined appropriately. Thank you all for your concern.

Just thought I'd check in to see if anyone was up to no good!;)

Sounds like everyone is trying to fight something off! Maybe we all need a little pixie dust and some good weather! pixiedust:

I'm waiting for the doctor to send me a fax. She wants Madison to go and have X-rays of her chest. :( I sent Maddie to school today since it was a half day and figured she could either sit there for a few hours and learn or here watching t.v. School had only been in session for less than 20 minutes before I got the call from the school nurse. Madison was down there complaining of not feeling good and just whining in general. I told her "welcome to my world".:rotfl2: They were just reading in class so she did stick it out, but she came home sounding worse than she has been. (Sigh) To top it off DH's asthma is getting bad, so he is off to the doctor tonight. :(

Lizziesmom: Speaking of sump pump problems. I let Grace outside this afternoon and went to check on her. She was splashing around in a giant lake! The part that goes into the house had burst and water was going everywhere and now the pump keeps going off.:rolleyes2 Now my backyard is flooded, not to mention the wet muddy dog!:scared:

Well the fax just came in, so we're off to the hospital.:drive: I'll check back later tonight.

Hello, Nichole!! :wave2: How is your day going?

Lesa: Good luck with Maddie's X-ray. Hope everything turns out wonderfully! :grouphug:

Yeah, this was my second DIS lunch in two weekends! Both were great. :goodvibes How are you today?

That IS good news!! :rotfl: I know how traumatic it can be to lose a trash can. Congrats! :teeth:

Hi Bonnie! I'm doing fine, I just got out for school and had to run some errands.

Well everyone, I guess I won't be going to Memphis, I'm actually kind of sad about it! I don't like what I'm reading in the thread I made. Oh well, at least I'm going to WDW!!! Now I just need to settle on a date in Nov.:cool1:

Well our darling Miss Lilly came home this morning...I swear she grew!!!:cool1:

Linda...your package came today...Briana was so excited...she said that she never gets packages and couldn't wait to open it.:cool1: Thank you for all the wonderful things. I have already filled my Grandma's Brag Book!!:rotfl:

Bree and I ran to Babies-r-us for more bases for the car seat. Blake and Nick have gone to the book store and I am running Matt to the store for some storage containers for his closet. How fun!!:rolleyes2

I'll check in later.:wave2:

Hi Michele, yea Lilly's home!

Okay, so I've decided on a date for my trip, Nov 15th-19th. Now I can't decide where to stay, either CSR or POR. Help me decide!:goodvibes

Both are large, spread out resorts...

We stayed at CSR in August and loved it, when we were at POFQ last month we drove thru POR on the buses and I have to say, it didn't float my boat.

If it were me, I would pick CSR.

Either way, you'll be at WDW so you can't go wrong!!!

Oh and you'll be there on my birthday, so you'll have to ride a ride for me!!::yes::

I'm Baaack!

Maddie had her x-rays. They did her chest and her nasal passages. I'm waiting for the dr to call with the results.

While pulling out of the hospital parking lot, I was behind a little old man. He proceeded through the stop sign into nooooooo traffic, I pulled up towards the stop sign when all of a sudden he slammed on the brakes!:scared1: Of course I hit him.:worried: Luckily I was pulling up to the stop sign so I didn't hit him hard.:rolleyes2 I called 911 as the man gets out of his car into traffic. I told the dispatch to please hurry as the old man was going to get hit.:rolleyes2 Then I got out and escorted him back to his car and told him to move it to the side and stay in the car. He got out several times and I had to keep sending him back to his car. The officer came and asked for my Lic. and proof of ins. which of course I didn't have.::cop: Then he went off to talk to the little old man. He came back to my car rolling his eyes and said "Man is he old!":rotfl2:  He had me call home to get my ins. number because he didn't want to give me a ticket. :thumbsup2 (thumb) Brittany was my life saver and got my info.:goodvibes When all was said and done, the officer said since it was private property (that was ify) and there was no damage = no ticket!:cool1: When he handed back my licence I asked him if he would do me a huge favor.....would he please stop traffic so the old man could get back on the road without getting hit again, so he did!:rotfl: :rotfl2: It still took the old man a few minutes to pull out as the officer was rolling his eyes.:lmao:

Well that's my story!:drive: Moral of the story.....stay away from little old men!;)

Nicole- I think its a hard choice between CSR and POR..But I would choose CSR. I stayed there in March 2004 and it was beautiful!!! The pool is AWESOME. If you could afford it though- I would suggest getting a preferred room because this place is LARGE....there are bus stops convienent to every building but I am the type that eats in the food court and shops in the gift shop alot, I like to be near those!!!

The only thing that you might not like is the food court- they have quick service options and the food is very good :thumbsup2 but for some reason they have waitresses there to get your refills for your mug, etc.:confused3 So, you need to budget a couple bucks for the tip each morning if you eat in the food court. You can also get the food to go, (no need to tip) refill your mug and be on your way!! But if you are staying in a room close to the food court it is very far from the pool. You just have to choose which is more convienent for you. There is an internal bus system so you can always take that bus to the food court, or to the pool. The pool snack bar is also pretty tasty! :teeth:

Ofcourse, POR is very beautiful as well...But in my opinion CSR is the better choice.

Lesa: oh no, not a little old man! Here's my little old man story: Many years ago, I had just gotten a new-to-me car from my dad and about a month later, a little old man ran a stop sign and pulled out into traffic right into the side of my car. The car was nearly totalled! The officer, much like yours, just kept shaking his head and muttering comments about how it should be illegal to drive after a certain age. My little old man walked with a cane and was 96 years old - but of course the accident was MY fault because I was "wearing them newfangled space-age sunglasses" so I couldn't see him as he plowed into my passenger side. (rolling eyes) When the cop drove me home he kept telling me, "I hope my kids have the good sense to take my license away on my 65th birthday!" Anyway, I'm glad you are all okay, little old man included.

Nicole: I still haven't read your Memphis thread, but I'm glad you're going to WDW!

Lyzzie had to read 2 more chapters tonight and do 2 pages of homework - she just now finished & now it's off to bed for her, and almost time for Heroes for me.
