I just wanted to make sure that I signed my family up correctly for the fish extender program to Alaska on the Wonder, June 27 - Juky 4, 2016. I'm not very tech savvy and want to make sure I did it right. My family, especially the grandkids, are very excited to participate in this program.

We are super excited to head to Alaska on the Wonder. This will be our second Disney cruise (our first was a 3 night Bahama cruise on the Dream in 2012). We are hoping to sign up for the fish extender program this time. We are traveling with a group but I am not sure if they are interested in participating. My name is Shelley and I am willing to organize a Fish Extender group for those sailing on the Disney Wonder, June 27th-July 4th, 2016. If you are interested, please reply to this thread. If we get enough interest, I'll begin the organization of it. Please note that I am open to any and all suggestions from Disney Cruisers on how to make this a great FE experience for all!

Hi all! For our 20th wedding anniversary, DH surprised the family with an Alaskan cruise this summer. He originally booked it on Celebrity, but after lots of thought (and an open oceanview room), we switched it to Disney over the weekend. We gave up a balcony, but we think cruising with Disney will be worth the sacrifice ... We're so excited and overwhelmed! Does anyone have advice on how to choose what excursions to go on? I have a DD13 (turning 14 while on the cruise) and a DD8, so quite an age difference. It's so overwhelming to look at all the choices! (If you know of any articles/message threads, please send me links! I'm also having a hard time finding information on the DIS Board....)

This will be our second Disney cruise -- first one was two years ago. The only port was Castaway Cay, so we didn't need to make any extra decisions.

I know this is a Meetup/FE thread -- if I should post my questions somewhere else, please let me know! (We'd like to participate in the FE, but I don't know our stateroom yet. As soon as I find out, I'll post ... )

Typically, each giver decides what they want to do. Some give only one gift per room. Others do one gift for the adults and separate gifts for the kids. While still others give separate gifts to each person.

Some FE groups assign days to each person for giving out their gifts, others just say "whenever"

But, be sure to do it before the last night, as people will be packing that evening.

Hi Ruth,
I do apologize for not responding sooner. My husband and I have been traveling and just returned from Argentina. It was beautiful. Anyway, back to the FE gifts.
It's up to you as to who you would like to pass gifts to. Some families might give to just the kids, where others might give to just the adults. You could also do a whole family gift. Totally your choice.
It will be up to you as to when you pass out your gifts. I agree with not waiting until the last night.... We passed out gifts out on our last cruise right before/after we went to dinner. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.
