I challenge you--help me find cheap rates at Royal Pacific!

Now you just have to train yourself to get out of the park commando mode. You are really going to notice a difference in park touring with how close the hotels are and fotl. Take your time, there's no rush to be there at opening and return to the hotel for breaks if you start to tire.

I am actually a little nervous that we don't have enough time there. On the US thread it says you need 3 days. We only have 2, and one is a weekend day. So I hope we can do it all. I think we should be able to.

It will just give you extra incentive to come back!

I want to go to Universal someday (SOON). I am trying to create a budget & hoping to get a deal (aren't we all). I got the $85 tix already & they are yearning for use

I just wanted to throw my two cents in!

We did two nights at Universal (for the first time) before heading to Disney (for the first time) in January. And we really, really, REALLY enjoyed Universal. In fact, we are planning for a return trip this December but this time we are going finish off with US! The FOTL really does spoil you!

This time, we'd like to stay at HRH for two nights and will hopefully get a decent AP rate.

Albertan Mom: I hope you enjoy US as much as we did! For us, the little bit extra we paid to stay at PBH in January was completely worth it. The service we received was EXCELLENT all around, too!

Thanks! We are very excited. Last time we went to Florida, we went from MCO to WDW, and WDW to MCO!! We didn't venture beyond the gates of Disneyworld!
Not that there is anything wrong with that!!

But we are excited to go to US.
We did Universal Studios in Hollywood a few years back, but my son was too little to go on any rides, so I was the one sitting off with him while my dd and dh did everything! Now, my DS wants to do all the big coasters, and I will be the chicken!!
But excited to see the shows and everything, and IOA.

I am feeling very good about booking RPR, and not cheaping out and staying off site. My DH says I over-analyze things to the point of driving myself crazy and taking away the fun of it! (its true!)

I also forgot to add in my last post, that because of a very unfortunate airline change in schedule (don't fly SUNWING!!), we only had one full day to spend at the Parks.

Amazingly, we were able to do everything we wanted to do in BOTH parks in that one day. It wouldn't have been possible without FOTL and we were also completely wiped by the end of the day, but it was a really great day.

I'm sure two days will still be exhausting, but you will cover what you can and you'll also have a chance to do a few of your favourites over again! You will especially love the proximity of the resort to the parks. I'm too excited for your family!

:cool1:

I think $178 sounds fantastic!! I can't find anything for less than $239. We want to stay there from 8/17 - 8/20. Please someone tell me what I am doing wrong?? Thanks!!

That's a great rate at RPR. It's such a nice resort. We spent most of our time there hanging out at the pool. We loved being able to walk or boat over to City Walk and the parks. Try to eat at Tchoup Tchoup if you can.

I'm sorry, I haven't checked this thread for awhile. AMA is the Alberta Motor Association, our provincial branch of AAA. You should be able to see AAA rates through your local AAA site but if you can't go to ama.ab.ca

Hello,
My self and my 8 year old daughter are staying at the RPR from the 24th August to 28th August.
We have booked one standard room with 2 free park tickets valid for 7 days , this includes fast pass. the totsl cost is $940.
I then got myself a Loews club card from loewsfirst.com and have been upgraded to a room with a view, bottle of wine on arrival and a few other extras
Overall i think this is a very good rate.
I am an overseas visitor so no AAA or anything esle.
Bargain or not????

Does that price include the free tickets to universal with the fast pass???

Just an FYI - the front of the line pass is your hotel room key. It is not tied to the kind of ticket you buy or hotel rate you select. Any rate at any onsite hotel will include the express line access. As long as you have a room key to the Hard Rock Hotel, Royal Pacific Resort or Portofino Bay Hotel, you have FOTL.

You actually show your room key at the express line, not your ticket. The room key will have your name and dates of stay imprinted on it. So this is what the TM's will check.

Ya, you can only get the free passes with a 4 night or more stay.
Passes will be another $85 each.

What is a Super Saver discount and how do I get it:surfweb: Am I just paying more because I'm going in mid July? I have a AAA rate of $191.

Wow, I can't believe all you people were dumb enough to fall for someone's "contest" to find the best rate. She/He was just to lazy to do the research.:sad2:

It wasn't a "contest". It was a challenge, and my opinion is that the OP wanted to make sure she got the best rate possible. Someone here on the Dis might have some info that could help her. I know for myself, I research like mad, but I always ask questions here anyway, especially about numbers/prices. Everyone here likes to help, and I think the OP just added a bit of fun to it.
