Hello!
Looking at a possible end of February/beginning of March trip for myself, DH, and kids aged 7 and 6 for 5 days. Because of budget I was looking at staying at a Value.
We stayed at Pop about 4 years ago (really liked it), but have stayed either Moderate or Deluxe since then. Although I really liked Pop, I was interested in trying out an All-Star just for the sake of trying a new hotel.
Besides cleanliness, we are looking for the hotel that is the quietest/least crowded and the best transportation.
All of three of the All-Star prices are within a few dollars of each other, so cost difference isn't really a factor here. FWIW, we will be staying at Universal's RPH hotel for a few days before arriving here.
Any input is welcome :)

The Sports is my pick. On the rare occasion the All Stars share a bus, the Sports is the first stop. The food court was redone just a couple of years ago, and looks great. My last stay my room was on the back side of a Surfs Up building, and it was very quiet.

Been a while since we stayed at all stars, but movies was our favorite, for the theme. Our first trips were all at the all stars, for years. Music was my second favorite because it's right in the middle. When leaving the parks you can literally jump on any of the 3 all star buses and walk. We walked up to a bus stop and our bus was just pulling away, but sports was just pulling up so we jumped on it.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stays at all 3 All Stars, but Sports is our favorite due to the theme. Other than the theme, they are basically the same resort.

If you go with Movies keep in mind that when the resorts share a bus, that is the last one picked up. Not that they share very often, but it is something to be aware of.

Just curious, how often would you say that they do share? Daily or like a once in a blue moon type thing?

I have stayed at Movies and Sports and I have to say that Sports was my least favorite disney property to date I don't know if the timing was just wrong or we got a bad room or what but it my least favorite by a lot. That being said one of my friends convinced me to try Movies this last year and I was shocked at how much I liked it better, especially the theming we were in the toy story area and it was so fun to walk back into Andy's room every night right past RC.

Also Movies has an outdoor screening area where they show movies every night by the main pool which can be a plus for the kiddos and a fun resort activity on an early night.

good to know I didn't remember it when I was at sports I guess I wasn't looking for it
Sports and Music no longer have movies each night-they only do 4 nights now.

Movies still does 7 nights because it is,well,All-Star MOVIES!:)

Of course Guests at any All-Star can attend a movie at any other All-Star----The Mouse For Less does a great job posting the Activities schedule.:)

These resorts are so very similar, that any choice would be fine. With the ages of your children, I think the theme at Movies would be a big hit. I think Music has the edge for quiet.

I've never found the bus sharing (which is not very often) to be an issue, at all.

Do your kids like sports? If not, choose Movies. I recently stayed at Sports and loved it! (I'm not into sports either!)All three are very similar, just the theming is different. I never had to share a bus with the other two resorts when I was there. Have fun!!

Awesome! Super detailed! Thank you!

I voted for Movies, Music would be second pick, Sports last based only on theming.

My experiences...
First time was Music.. liked it, in the Jazz bldg.
Then, second stay at Music were put in Country Fair bldg...hated it. The walk was long and boring, just wasn't crazy about the atmosphere at the resort for some reason and couldn't wait to leave. Moved to AoA and was quite happy.
When my dd was a CM, last year, she got me a terrific discount at Movies, so figured I could live with anything for that price. I really liked Movies. In fact, when dd came to visit me there, she said the difference between Movies and Music was huge, but neither one of us could figure out why!!! So, a few stays at Movies, all good. Then I stayed at Sports in June. Not as happy there. It felt crowded and crammed in...just not as much open space there, and I didn't care for the food court. So I'll be back at Movies in two weeks.
I had no issues with the buses at any of the three resorts. Most of the time, we had our own bus, but on a few occasions we stopped at all three. I will be at Music for Food and Wine since I couldn't get any other value, needed two rooms.

we are looking for the hotel that is the quietest/least crowded and the best transportation.

I would recommend the Music resort for quietest/least crowded as it's the most overlooked one (Even in this poll it's only got 2 votes). If you and your family like music then it's got some cool themes to enjoy as well.

The buses are all pretty similar at the All Stars and all of them are reasonable in my experience.
