Those were brought in for Irma. All resorts switched to the 8-packs about a month ago. And the cases are gone.

That is odd, I hadn't heard of that. But over at AOA they actually had them in the fridge at the bottom like they were standard.

We were at AKL during Irma and I was not aware that they sold water by the case. I purchased a bunch of bottles of water from the confectionary on Main Street on our way out of the parks on the Saturday. This would have saved me some $$.

We were there over the weekend, just got home yesterday. We were in building 9 - it didn't bother us at all.

I also opted out of mouse keeping for the gift card offer. They didn't offer it to me at check in and I forgot to ask becuase I had a headache from melting my brain in animal kingdoms heat so I called later and had it added. Well they didn't add it right. I happened to mention not they email yet getting email to the concierge when I was using some of my physical gift cards to pay off some of my charges and he said I should have gotten it right away. Well when he looked into it it wasn't added correctly. If I hadn't mentioned it I would have missed out. I ended up getting credit to my account instead because it was easier but if you didn't get an email right away I'd say there's a problem.

I’m glad it worked out for you! I am going to call and see about this. I’m thinking I missed out on this. I had no idea of this offer until we were already home. However we usually never get housekeeping so I was happy about this. If I missed out ( which stinks!) I hope they keep this around!

I was there last week and it didnt bother us at all. We were in building 9 but out on the back corner past the pool and near the Potato Heads and we didn't hear a thing. We saw it while we were walking but thats not really an issue

Yes, at the back of the AKL resort store there is a large food area. Because they have DVC rooms too they sell a variety of groceries.

Unfortunately I don't believe it is. The person who posted them has not posted on DISBoards for almost 2 years.

I don't know if the moderators have any super powers that the rest of us do not but if they do, hopefully they can help!

There is incorrect information in that first post too (re: Fax number) that would be nice to have updated too.

I don't think there's anything the moderators can do about the pictures as it's a Photobucket/User issue and not DIS Boards related. I suppose *someone* at DIS boards could probably edit the posts and update the information (not sure that they would do that, though) but the only way the pictures will be recovered is if Janet B either pays the fee for Photobucket or moves the pictures to a different hosting site. I often wonder what happened to Janet B, she seemed to just disappear (or maybe I missed something).

I think the only way things will get updated is if someone starts and maintains a new Pop Century Informational thread and searches out new pictures to include with the informational posts.

I've stayed at Pop over 25 times so frequent this thread and would be happy to keep it updated as information changes. Please let me know if fellow DISers would be interested in a new Pop thread with updated pics and information.

Given the major renovation of the rooms, the gondola and maybe more changes, and possibility of rate increases ........... starting a completely new thread ... especially given OP is gone now ... is probably a good idea.
