I love credit cards so much!

I have meddled with credit card rewards off and on but never got serious about them. Earlier in the year, we did get a Business Ink through our office. We now have around 100,000 points saved up. Through some google searches, I read that I might be able to call Chase's rewards and cruise line and possibly book a Disney vacation through them. Does this method allow me to use the points? We are wanting campsites at Fort Wilderness and currently all I'm seeing available to book are the hotels. Can anyone give me some pointers?! I have also not ruled out the Chase preferred to get more points as a personal card, since we don't currently have one. Are there any packages that would do campsite + tickets to let me use my points? Obviously, I don't have as many as I would likely need for a Disney vacation in full but could accumulate quite a few by next May. I also read on a blog that purchasing the tickets through Undercover Tourist would redeem as travel vs. Disney which would only code as amusement parks. Thanks!

There is a 30% bonus you can sign up for right now on United for transferring points from a Hotel partner up to 25K miles extra. Was just planning to transfer points this week on the nights and flights with Marriott! Always very exciting to have unexpected miles rain down!

Call the number on the back of your card, ask for Chase Travel & ask for a quote. Nothing to lose! (FYI you get 1.25 redemption with Ink Preferred...) Yes, you can add park tickets to a hotel on the phone- I think! Confirm by asking!
ETA: I'm assuming you have Ink Cash and are considering Ink Preferred? Or Sapphire Preferred? They both have 1.25 redemption rates on points.

I went for the SPG Business card. Added up expenses and such and we can do it, plus it seems like a good opportunity to try plastiq for the first time (and mostly show DH it's not a scam). Have DH researching his tires so he can get them when the card comes. No putting the last $1200 from my car repair on there though, because the work was finished and I picked it up yesterday. But at least I can sock drawer my Marriott card :thumbsup2

Sidenote... I'm starting to see people on the reddit page that I recognize from here and I'm always like, I know them! haha!

Somebody a few pages back mentioned something about trying to setup a facebook group or something for us to support each other and continue the discussion. That idea aside, it would be nice to know folks reddit names (especially if different) so that if I'm using a referral there or on rankt.com I can support folks I recognize from here. My name is the same there, here, and on flyertalk (so no confusion haha!) Anybody else here use a different name (or the same name) on reddit and care to identify themselves??

My name is different over there... "jen_screamer". But like @mhartman09 I have only been lurking lately. When they increased the karma needed to post referrals for rankt I got shut out of several that I was previously able to add. I got frustrated and steered away from posting.

I've been quite active there and here for many years and only recently have the two intersected with this thread. We could organize a secret "Disboards Upvote Brigade" haha!

Also, I wouldn't shy away from posting though, especially since they don't count negative votes it can only help you to get involved, you have nothing to lose. I will admit though that I may be biased there as my viewpoint on the whole upvote/downvote controversy is that the requirements are really easy to hit.

I looked up America tires and was like, hmm never heard of them. Then when I searched my area it told me their stores are called Discount Tire in my area - I know them! I'll make sure he looks there. I know nothing about tires, I've never had to put them on a vehicle before... I'm a bad adult in that way.

speaking of the devil...
Discount Tire Direct via eBay is offering $100 off $400 or More on Tire or Wheel Purchases (Cooper, Bridgestone, Yokohama, Vogue, Goodyear, Dunlop & More) when you enter promo code PMOTORS17 and checkout via PayPal.

The whole downvote climate completely turns me off to participating. That said, I did benefit from a few referral bonuses before the new rules.

I've done a search and haven't found a really good answer for this yet (sorry if I missed it!). I've got a Discover card already, but I'm looking at opening the plain Discover IT card to get the 5% categories. I'm really only interested if I'd get the double cashback for the first year. Does anyone here know if just opening a new card makes it eligible for that promo?

I get nitpicky on the terms where it says 'for new cardmembers only'. If they're trying to get new people then I'd be an existing member, if they just want to issue new accounts, then I'd be a new member. From some of the stuff I could pull online it seems like I'd get it but the latest posts were from the promo's in 2015 which were a little different.

10% back at Target and Amazon is totally worth the hard pull... 5% not at all since we already have Amazon and Target cards, and I have the Freedom for rotating categories the rest of the year.

Well if I see a post from any of the names I recognize from here (@peel @amalone1013 @Albort @mhartman09 etc.) I'll make sure to toss an upvote your way! I'd advise everybody else do the same, haha!
