Secondly, and less importantly, I received what appears to be a somewhat personalized e-mail from Plastiq last night from someone named Colin. Did anyone else get this? I only say it's personalized because it has my name, is not sent as a BCC as far as I can tell, and has a typo haha.

Was it regarding their "Private Client Offerings"? I got one yesterday from someone named Derek.

Getting annoyed with plastiq! I'm trying to pay the lawn service who fertilizes our yard. I paid him last month with plastiq using my CIP. I had him categorized under 'business services". Tried to use my Amex spg biz to pay for this month. Amex won't support that payment. Switched him to "utilities" and Amex won't support that either. Has something changed with Amex and their supported categories? Utilities were going through fine two weeks ago. Not sure what else to put him under.

ETA: "clubs" category isn't working either which is also supposedly supported by Amex.

I tried paying for snow removal under "utilities" with an Amex and couldn't get it to go through. I also couldn't get a vacation rental payment to go through on any card, which was super annoying. I definitely get frustrated with Plastiq, but will keep using it as long as CIP codes 3x!

Just realized I missed one of the Lowe's $10 off $50 on my SPG Biz

Just annoyed at myself because I stopped and used two cards last week, I thought I had them all.

I realized at 7pm last night I forgot to use mine too. We had it on 2 cards but one was sock drawered and I kept forgetting to grab it when running errands. I didn't care enough to get up and go last night though. Glad there is another Lowes offer this morning to make up for it.

Yep. Missed the Lowe’s offer on two cards also. I kept forgetting to get one of my dh’s cards that had the offer. I had a training last night and didn’t realize it until about 9. I almost went back out but laziness overtook me.

It just says he's part of their small/medium business team and then it says "Business use Plastiq to pay suppliers (domestic/international), rent, insurance, and payroll. All funded via credit card. Would any of those make sense for your business?"

Thanks! I got Exxon and in a cruel twist of fate Staples (now that my CIC has arrived). But what really rocked the world's axis is I got the Hilton $20 off $100 in gift cards on my SPG card!

I assumed I'd never see another Hotel offer on that card because it's a hotel co-brand. AmEx must really not care anymore but I thought they were keeping the Small Biz segment?

I think I will use the Hilton as we were thinking of doing a pseudo mattress run to get Silver since we only need 1 more stay.

@elgerber had that problem with AmEx and Plastiq "fixed" it somehow since the payment was supported (gov payment I think, taxes) when contacted. So maybe an actual glitch on the site and asking support will work?

Yeah, I did two online chats. The first one said it should work fine, and he would put in a rush ticket. I didn't hear back for two days, so I chatted again, and he said the same thing, but did send me an email a few hours later that it was fixed. It was property taxes and the payee was my county.

I feel your pain.... After Max, we lost another to Congestive Heart Failure. That was two in the span of 2 months.
Our new vet and I were discussing VAS when I took one of our new kittens in. The vet had lost a cat to it. The tech in the room with us lost one to it as well. That was 3 out of 3 people gathered in that room that day. Each of us had a "1 in 10 million" cat? Ridiculously under estimated statistic.

I don't want to like these, but I appreciate you posting. Our cats are seven years old now and I have just blindly accepted whatever shots the vet wanted to give them (granted, it's been 2-3 years since they've been to the vet). I definitely will be asking more questions next time.

I'm so sorry for your losses, @crazymomof4. I certainly understand your pain. Ours got sick pretty much back to back if not at the same time. There were days we were picking up one from the vet and dropping another off. It was emotionally draining for such a long time. We just wanted to do everything we could to give them all a fighting chance.
@AmyAnne I'm glad you've been able to take away some useful info from our experiences. The worst part about our cats developing cancer from a rabies vaccine is that they were all completely indoor cats and would have never been exposed to rabies in the first place. But most vets, including the emergency vet in our area, won't treat a cat whose shots aren't up to date. We'll do anything we can in the future to protect our new little monsters without exposing them to this risk.

No change that I’m aware of; sounds like a glitch.

Their customer support chat will probably tell you to delete your Amex card and reenter it to see if that fixes it. If it doesn’t, they’ll submit a ticket for IT to troubleshoot the issue.

Since your mortgage is still going through, I don’t know if you’d want Plastiq poking around too much in your account. Does DH have his own account that you can try the payment on with your Amex card?

Well, my mortgage went through 10 days ago (unfortunately, used my CIP instead of spg biz...or fortunately, if you think about the UR's). I'm terrified to try to pay it again!

Anyways, yes, you are right. I do not want eyes on my account. I'll try my dh's account or just pay the lawn people with my CIP. That went through last month just fine.

I don't think I had this one (also don't have cable/satellite so no big deal lol!).

I had the Hilton offer on 4 cards, Lowes on 3, Staples on 2, Exxon/Mobil on 3 (just in time for our road trip!!) and I had the Pure Formulas on just about every card.

Just throwing it out in case anyone else buys a lot of the higher priced type supplements. Their pricing is less than we pay from the naturapath's office. I had that one a couple of months back and used it on every card. We buy a lot of my dd's supplements from them.

In other news, this old lady got pulled over by a Maryland State Trooper yesterday.

Brake light out. Issued the standard equipment repair ticket. Bought a bulb yesterday. Now to go fiddle with the plastic casing until either I fix it or some neighbor comes by to ask what I'm doing and fixes it for me.

Then, take it down to the police station and get it signed off on.

I'm actually happy to be alerted but I wish they would just say fix it and leave it at that first time out.

Either a slow ticket day or MD cares more than PA We have rear ends missing from cars that I see drive regularly on regularly patrolled state roads.
OT, but have you done a brake light on your car before? If it's the regular lights you go in through a panel in the trunk, if it's the 3rd brake light good luck with the plastic Mine annoyed me so much because I couldn't angle it out I ripped the housing apart and bought new plastic clips to reassemble it. Of course once I reassembled it seemingly exactly the same as before, the stupid plastic slides out like it should now
But as much as YouTube has gone downhill I can usually find a good car repair video to see how it's supposed to work (usually after my car disses me. I show it to the car so it'll know how it's supposed to work but it never listens and has to do things the hard way) which may save you a couple extra bucks in plastic clips

Actually those gift card resale sites don't like me -- last time I tried to order, it insisted my account could not be verified (I can't recall if this was raise or a similar one). Plus I have already maxed out the bonus category on my CF for this quarter (groceries is an easy category for me -- restaurants not so much, so I'm hoping the PP option continues next quarter).

Ah. I had the same issue with CardCash and decided I wasn't going to deal with them. But, I've never had an issue with Raise, and they are the only ones I will buy discounted GCs from given their 365-day guarantee policy and receptive customer service. When I call, I actually get someone that understands the question most of the time and opened til 9pm ET I think, which is helpful.

Same here. Want to just PC my CSP that I opened last May and max the CF categories (this is after 4 Discovers and 3 CFs already , but groceries/PP is too easy) before Q2 rolls around.

Chase will refund the AF if cancelled or PC'd to a no fee within 30 days. So unless you needed the new card before, the recommendation was to wait. Kinda looks better and I think there was reports of folks being told they couldn't when they tried within the first year. Someone will correct me on the exact issue I'm sure

Good Morning!! I've been lurking and reading your amazing posts for a few days and I think I'm ready to take the credit card plunge! We travel to WDW at least once a year, and we do a few weekend trips throughout the year. We already have a SW card and use the points for flying. I'm curious about the Citi Prestige card with the 4th night free at a hotel, as well as the Chase Sapphire cards. How difficult is it to redeem the rewards? For example, we are staying 3 nights in July at BC...could I open the Citi Prestige card and add on the 4th night? Any advice, tips, suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!!

I pay for our Netflix subscription through iTunes. Same price as if you paid directly, but iTunes credit is often discounted 15%. We also have quite a large digital movie at library on iTunes that we add to frequently, use iCloud storage, and download apps to DD's iPad -- all paid for with discounted iTunes gift cards.

May I ask how you do this @Lain?
