New Bounceback: Free Dining 2019

You can book a Bounce Back for next year while you are staying at ANY Disney owned resort now.

That Bounce Back stay has to be in in one of the included BB resorts though.

So if I were at BLT now I can book a BB for next year but not for staying at BLT since that is not an included resort for the promo.

Yes, it can seem confusing.

I have a question for my Dis family!

I will be staying at one of the excluded resorts (BLT) in September and intend to book a bounce back for 2019. Can I book at any of the excluded resorts or only the excluded resort I am staying in?
Is BLT a DVC property? Are you staying as a DVC or paying for your room? (If this is even possible) I don’t believe DVC properties qualify if staying on points.

Does this include DVC rooms?

Question.
I believe they lady on phone told me I can book up to three rooms while there for next years bounce back. I wondering thought does everyone have to be the same. For instance , length of stay , same meal plan?

Example is wife’s brother wants to bring his family for first trip. We got a lot. But does his reservation have to be same as ours?
Also would the reservation be in my name? Can I book two rooms or would it have to be in my wife’s name? Or his?

In 2016 we booked a bounceback for Dec. 2017. There were three adults(DH, DS, me) in our room so we booked a room in each person’s name. I asked if I could do one room in my daughter’s name and was told no. So, my son-in-law and I were listed in the wrong room. I was never able to change the lead name on the reservation, even at the front desk on arrival. It was a pain with dining credits, charges, keys, etc. but not too hard. Sometimes people ARE able to put a room in someone’s name who isn’t there, so it must depend on the cast member you get on the phone. For our next bounceback, I’ve considered adding my daughter to the room even though she won’t be there so I can book a room in her name.

I am I interested in this question also.
Is there a three room limit- could we book two different trips (both in my name for the same people on current trip) and another room for my brothers family to come at same time as one of those trips (w/DH as lead)
We only have 2 adults in our room.

I just called and the lady said since only me and my wife going to sept 2018 trip. We can only book 2 rooms for next years trip. But we can put one room in my name and the other room in my wife’s brothers name even though he won’t be there this year. Also he can chose different amount of days then me as long as it’s min of 4. Just can’t decide on if should up grade meal plan as I will gay at POR

Kingdome8, that is great news! Hopefully that is a policy change that works for everyone now!

Ummm, what advance payment discount? I’ve been going to WDW for over 25 years, always onsite & have never heard anything like that. Also, since free Dining is a package, it must be paid by 30days out. That isn’t optional.

As PP said, there have been conflicting reports on how many rooms you can book with the BB offer. Traditionally, you could book 1 room per adult, but that adult did need to be going on the return trip. There have been some reports in the last year or so of being able to book more than 1 room each. So it is possible your wife may be able to book 2 rooms. The only way to know for sure is for her to call & ask when she is there. She may get lucky.

As far as room availability, remember that will vary depending on your dates, resort, room type & length is stay. Ex: Just because the room wasn’t available for someone else staying 4 nights checking in December 8, doesn’t mean it won’t be available for you, staying 7 nights checking in December 7. Again, the only way to know will be to call & see what is available when there. And there may not be 3 rooms available at your preferred resort or in the same room category.

Yes, the deposit is $200 per room. Must be paid when they book. If your wife is allowed to book more than 1 room, there is a possibility both rooms can be on 1 reservation. If they are only allowed to book 1 room each, then each room will be a separate reservation.

Talk over all possibilities & get some type of plan or at least a list of priorities so your wife & daughter will be prepared to make decisions when they call.[/QUOT

Thanks a bunch. This is new to us and a little confusing. I guess we will try.

The advance purchase price is $21 per ticket for more than 4 days if paid in advance. This is listed on Mousesavers

Thank you for posting this information on free dining. I do have a question, I saw on another site that the Polynesian Resort was excluded as well. I see that you have posted only the Bungalows are excluded from the BB offer. Do you happen to know if you can book the Polynesian Resort for the 2019 FD BB offer? Thank you for any information.

Yes, the Polynesian is included in the 2019 FD BB offer. I had no problem booking it. All room categories were available.

I did not have a current flyer in my room either. Was happy to know about the BB offer from this thread.

They never have 2 bouncebacks going at the same time do they? I am planning on going for 1 day at the end of August to book BB free dining for next December but also going in June of 2019. I was wondering if I could book all 3 at the same time. The free dining for June is not within my June dates.

Yes, they have. I’ve booked both FD and room only BB at the same time, however, it was at the end of Oct. You just have been onsite during the right transfer dates.

What a bummer. I'm finally staying when they offer the free dining bounce back but since the change of mod to a QS plan I don't think it's really going to be a good value for us anymore. Anyone know what they cost is to upgrade?

I agree, it’s not as good a deal with that and adding 4 day PH. The only reason it still works for us is because we use the tickets to renew APs. Other than that, no way.

I haven't booked the dining plan in years, but we will have six Disney adults going next July, so the BB is intriguing, even though it would require me to make a trip there this fall (600 miles each way). Here's my question - I had planned to either book a 2 BR villa or two AOA suites or an AOA suite and a LM room (older DD is coming with her boyfriend and younger DD is bringing a friend, so a single suite won't work). If I go by myself to qualify for the BB, can I book all six of us in an AOA suite and then add another room later since I can't book two rooms by myself? All six of us will be within occupancy for the AOA suite, but I would need to put someone's name on the second room when I book it later. Would I have to take them off the initial reservation (and lose free dining for that person), or can I have someone on both rooms? If I could book two AOA suites as a BB, I would do that (I know LM is excluded). I know I can book six of us into a 2 BR villa but that's quite a bit more expensive.

Thanks very much!

Thanks for posting!

I notice that POFQ is not on the excluded list. Maybe someone can report back if they have success booking at POFQ.
